They probably didn't. I think Scotland, NI, and Wales were opposed.

And I just looked at the EU vote for northern ireland results and the belfast area (north, south, east, and west belfast constituencies at least) look to have gone for stay by a ~2-1 margin in total. Add in younger people (who I'm assuming are doing the damage) overall largely voted for remain and these don't seem like the vote to leave type

Still a while to go, and the votes are counted randomly, but right now the "no" to unionization is winning by more than 2-1 with about ~2500 more to go

About 55 percent of the roughly 5,800 workers who were eligible to vote cast a ballot, the union representing the workers said.

It was way more appealing than sticking it out in political studies. :sun:

I realized that I needed to get out of political science as a major when a) the economy collapsed in 08 and b) I basically cleaned up and reframed a post of mine from IGN and turned it in for a short assignment that was due.

While not great, we are not currently supply constrained on vaccinations in the US and can continue our current growth pace well into May even with this reduction on the J&J deliveries. Bigger issue here is that it further slows to the progress in the developing world if we need to completely ditch this manufacturer and have another firm retool a facility to produce the J&J vaccine. Hopefully they can fix whatever issues there are and get the lines back up.

Doesn't have to do with the Baltimore facility iirc

Let’s put your kid against my niece. She is 5 but her favourite thing to do right now is to eat a bowl or 2 of gravy. . . . .nothing else. She got hooked on my moms turkey gravy from this past Xmas but when my sister makes it. She will tell her “nice job mom but it’s not as good as grandma, but a good try” Plus if they get KFC it’s 2 bowls of gravy, one for family and one for her. Did I mention she’s 5

Mine is almost 5 but her diet is more, uh, varied than primarily gravy. There's nothing we've found she won't eat, and has been asking us for days if we can get some shrimp.

My friends kid though, man he's very particular. Might minorly be on the spectrum or something but he's in OT because he only eats like 4 things, cheese pizza, pretzels, pb&j (only with specific type of jelly), and white american cheese. Maybe some snacks here or there, but no meat whatsoever.

I notice you don’t include at home. Good, cause leave “what’s for dinner” up to a vote and it’ll be chicken nuggets every meal once you have kids.

You'd be absolutely shocked at the things my daughter wants and asks to eat.

Not that it matters anyway because the home should largely be democratic or at least deliberative for adults and older minors

  7. As these longer term effects of the pandemic come to fruition, I'm so glad I got my house when I did. (Exactly one year ago yesterday!) Between housing prices getting even stupider, and houses being much much much more competitive to buy, to apparently routers coming in short supply (I got a new one when I moved) I think I lucked out. From the router article though, lmao:

    Quote

Running out of the right router would prevent a carrier from being able to add new subscribers to its network, risking lost sales in the ever-competitive broadband market.

    Competitive lmao lmao lmao
