The strike is currently targeting three plants that employ 13,000 of the UAW's 145,000 memebers.

Apparently they leaked false locations of where the strikes were going to take place, so that supplies would be rerouted from those locations. But then these three that actually struck we’re not on that list so in effect it is causing chaos in the supply of materials to each plant and disrupting production across the board.

Three alternators? Dang. There had to be something in your charging system overworking it. For this one I just replaced I think the culprit was my battery being some old cheap thing causing it to constantly be working.

Yeah it was a pos, but for $700 it was a decent car back then, even though it was 16 years old at the time. Bought it from an old lady, Chevy Celebrity. The alternator was the only issue and only had about 15k miles on it

  3. Hey so how did you find your lawyer? And what should one look out for or ask when finding one or anything else to be aware of (without violating ndas and whatnot)?

my brother in law (lives in FL) was hit by a recycling truck (private company, all of this was allegedly on camera?) while riding his bike on the sidewalk and luckily survived but has a broken collarbone, but won’t get to see an ortho for 3 weeks. I don’t want him to get screwed because he’s mildly autistic and is likely to go along with whatever is put in front of him and id like to be able to suggest some things for someone to advocate for him

Man this brings back memories from my first car (which was almost 20 years ago now Jesus) which ate through 3 alternators in the short time I had it so unfortunately I recognized what was going on with your car before you said it lol. I remember the power steering and windshield wipers stopped working. Luckily for me I was alone on some county backroads in rural Appalachia Ohio so no threat from other drivers. The bad part also was that I was alone on some country backroads in rural Appalachia Ohio and this was before cell phones. So I had to, horror of horrors, knock on a strangers door in the stormy dark to call the pizza place I worked at that I wouldn’t be able to get back and to get help.

    good times

Hunter was basically working as a lobbyist... using his name and connections to curry favor... something that is basically an entire industry in this country.

I have to imagine that this situation is not unusual at all. It would be funny if this resulted in a bunch of laws being passed to stop this sort of thing, because it would cut deep into both parties...

    Do it.

It’s very funny watching fail sons who inherited their ski doo and hot tub businesses from dear ole papa get upset about Hunter. Double so for Don Jr

That's what's so funny, there is such a never-ending string of Trump scandals that nothing seems to really stick around, but this Joe Biden / Hunter thing just won't die.

The reality based media rightly realized that what Hunter did was and is common practice in Washington: using your familial connection for access, real or imagined, with and to someone in government for their own monetary benefit. the right wing echo chamber rightly identifies this as a problem because it is an avenue to attack their enemies, but will offer no solution like ethics reform or even ethics reporting.  Nor any useful critique other than “Biden bad, here’s your proof!” Because they think this stuff is good, but it’s bad that the other guys do it
