  1. Weird, had no bugs, glitches or issues through 30 hours of play. Started it up for the first time in a few weeks and Eivor froze on a ladder...could spin the camera and bring up the menu, but he was completely frozen. Fast travel fixed it, but then I had an issue where 2 fingers on my right hand were like liquid terminator long ass stabby needles that touched the floor. Looked odd as hell in the boxing and drinking games.

The Yule event is nice, but back to CyberPunk :vortex:

  2. I'm going old school - Ninja Gaiden on the NES.

Boss fight was so fucking difficult...the biggest kick in the ass is when you lose you don't start at the boss - YOU HAVE TO DO THE ENTIRE LEVEL LEADING UP TO HIM AGAIN!!

That game took forever for me to beat! But I will admit, when I did it felt like a fantastic gaming accomplishment. Ninja Gaiden 2 and 3 weren't nearly as difficult though :)

My most played game of last generation that I still play has been Destiny 2. The next gen update has been amazing. I already had quick load times due to having an SSD external, then in the SeX it got even faster. Then with the next gen update it got faster still.  60fps with 105FOV change how the game looks and feels almost as much as when I went from a standard Xbone to a One X with a 4K HDR tv. Amazing improvement to the game.

Ive noticed the auto-HDR on older games too and it does bump up the visuals nicely on the titles I’ve played.

I have not been disappointed with the SeX so far. We may not have a killer next gen title that really showcases the power, but with the console powered improvements and ones thanks to next gen updates, you can easily see and feel the difference being on a Series X compared to even the One X. So if you went from a Xbone to a SeX the jump

would be huge. Even more so if you have an HDR 4K tv now too.

Shit, I have Destiny2 loaded and updated but still haven't gotten to it. This has me pretty amped to try it out though!

Has anyone found a "Stash" randomly hidden around the map?  Doing some exploring I randomly found one, and ended up walking away with this for Free.  Had some other goodies in it as well.  Now I really want to explore more as I'm sure there are more hidden around the map with other special rewards.  This car sells for $157k in game.

Much better looking than the other car you bought :P

  5. Only about 6 hours in and haven't gotten to the splash screen yet, but having a blast just walking around exploring. Found a sniper rifle on the roof of a building with a bunch of other stuff, i'm level 4 but the gun is like level 23, LOL.

Playing on XseX, no crashes or big issues. Had some slowdown in a cutscene where the visual paused but the dialogue kept going, then the graphics just "reset" with the voices...did it about 3 times during the one cutscene.

Other issue was my checkpoint wouldn't progress....I finished the task but it wouldn't bring up the next part of the mission. Reload fixed that.

Rest have just been odd/funny graphical stuff.

Having a blast with the game though. Gunplay is fun, story is compelling...but fuck the police man, I swear they don't like the way I smell and when I get within 5 feet they want to kill me!

    Funny glitch I had:

I'm not trying to start a fight, I was just genuinely curious, I played the first game and it really wasn't for me so I've had very little interest since.  I didn't think it was a bad game, but even if they made a new Zelda every year I'd get tired of it after awhile and yet here we are 13 years later and they're still pumping out a new Assasins Creed every single year.

As for reviews, I know the last 3 have done pretty well but there was a stretch in the middle where they weren't great which you even admitted.  Microtransactions may not be necessary but I read a lot of complaints about (I think it was odyssey) that you basically had put 50 hours into boring sidequests in order to progress through the main campaign or pay to skip the grind, which is utter bullshit, maybe they got rid of that stuff, I don't know.

Played the first game as in the very first AC? If so, i'm the same - but I HATED it. Tried again with AC2 and it was far different, had me very into it.

They put out sequels and I didn't really play again until Black Flag which if the first AC I actually beat, enjoyed the hell out of it.

I loved Origins but when Valhalla came out I stopped that (about halfway through), skipped Odyssey and went straight in - no regrets, having a blast.

I JUST missed her ripping off a massive fart in the clip.

After the clip when you go above ground, there are people getting sick, vomiting and running around all freaked out, LOL

So what’s the weirdest side quests you guys have come upon so far?

I had to help a kid clean crates of shit out of his house thag his dad was collecting. And if you stayed in the house too long you died 😂

The weirdest side quest I had was toward the end of Norway.

    Spoiler

Found a lady outside her house shit talking with her husband inside - they're trying to get aroused. They tell me about how raiding, burning and pillaging gets them excited and they haven't had great sex since they stopped raiding. They ask me to start breaking shit in their house, then they want me to set it on fire. While it's burning they get super horny and give me a key.

Imagine the company that made the worst MMO of all time that had to be rebuilt over several years and rereleased as a new game trying to sell other divisions of its company because products "underperformed."

    Fuckin Square Enix, man.

And now, completely counter to the point I just made...

Now think of all the games where I don't have to invoke gaming from 30+ years ago and how we used to love our busted shitty games when we were stupid kids who didn't know any better. Be it base game or post-launch content, there are just way too many superior options to Avengers right now.

People still talk about Golden Eye, Ninja Gaiden (NES and Xbox). Tekken, TIE Fighter, Final Fantasy etc.

Games look prettier and are longer, but longer doesn't mean better. How many complaints about Assassin's Creed and other games out now are bloated bullshit quests that just pad gametime? I've seen you mention an issue like that in the new Yakuza game thread even.

Yes games now are great, but all I was trying to say is that even only 20 years ago....games were shorter, just as expensive and still fun. If you sink 20-30 hours in a game, you must have enjoyed it to a degree, because there's a ton more games out there to try and play where you could have spent that time instead.
