I actually like it as well. It runs pretty great on everything I've put it on, supported and unsupported. For unsupported, it's running on my Ryzen Pro file server. As far as supported systems go, I've got it running on a couple of i7 laptops, an SQ1 Surface Pro X, and my main gaming rig with a 3900x. It's running pretty smooth on everything with no issues to complain about so far. I haven't even seen any performance hitches on the 3900x, but I did wait for those to be patched out before upgrading.

I have no complaints and a real appreciation for auto-HDR and everything just feeling more unified than it did in Windows 10.

Yeah as a MacBook user I mainly like that it's basically am osx/Macos skin on windows, and I don't know why people would wanna move the taskbar to the left, especially with multiple monitor set ups.

Minor issue I have is the "open with" right click seems to be gone but I only use that with notepad so it's not a huge deal to just open notepad and open the bat file I need.

Also, the Xbox app seems to be fixed where on windows 10 it was total trash.

  2. And yeah as stated if the trees have the potential to burn anyway it doesn't necessarily do you all that much good. I suppose picking the right biomes for tree farms would help but trees are pretty high maintenance (trimming, brush removal, etc). Even somewhere with historically high rainfall can turn into a tinderbox if not managed properly

Like people are trying their hardest to repopulate rainforests (ideal biome) but are failing in terms of overall carbon burn. Like the energy put into tree farms is pretty carbon intensive iirc.

The problem with algae, or pretty much anything that is NOT a tree, is that is after it dies, it decomposes, and turns back into CO2. Trees can lock the carbon into solid form for centuries whether the tree is alive or dead.

Algae is important though, as it might become an alternative source of fuel that can replace gasoline or diesel.  And it would be carbon neutral, too.

I would imagine self contained algae farms so as not to harm the ocean/freshwater sources would eventually be possible

This place is the last real Forum on the internet. The others all sucks. Reddit, 4chan, ERA. All the same fuckers You may have a username on some, but you ain't shit on'em. On here everyone is a person, except for @legend who is a robot.

I mean that's naturally just a result of how small the active userbase seems to be on this site. Lots of forums out there still with small userbases with a similar vibe, and yeah most of those are just being replaced by discords as it's roughly the same thing just in real time. Basically a small curated forum with a short, but active, member list.

  5. I would also say there seems to be a fair amount of non-verified web sleuthing going on here. Generally that is banable on most forums unless you have some serious reciepts. Like it's fine to user moderate content on a site you care a lot about, but digging elsewhere to create problems on a given forum isn't a good look because it's far from verified the person you're digging on is who you think they are. Like some level of anonymity on a forum should be respected if you aren't doing anything against the forum rules or pissing off/insulting anyone on that forum/posting the content on said forum someone is pulling in from elsewhere that isn't verified to even be the same person posting it.

    Just my 2 cents.

    Shit take

I mean not really. Not really any different than anywhere else on the internet, it's just kind of a shitty thing to do on a forum.

But yes, the site owner and others have listed several confirmed/suspected alts in this thread.

Which is an odd thing to do imo.

I'm not sure what tools are a available but just openly admitting and allowing "rerolls" seemingly intentionally vs preventing it is pretty fucking weird.
