It's been a while, but I don't know that they really had good blacks. Had a 27 inch Sony vega TV (with fancy 16:9 squish mode) and a 1080i CRT HDTV though... And my glorious Mitsubishi CRT monitor that nearly crushed my desk.

I've never actually had a LCD / "LED" TV.

Yeah they definitely all had greyish blacks. I guess some super duper expensive and very late production ones had good blacks "for a CRT".

    Why? They work great!

Aside from weird UI and motion ghosting artifacts, AI generated frames don't actually create the same latency improvement that actual framerate increases would. It's just an illusion, and an 8k game running at 60fps with frame gen might actually feel like a 30fps game.

Search Engine Optimization. How you structure your webpage and the words you decide to use help it appear higher in searches.

It takes into account historic data as well nowadays. If people landed on a page often, that one is likely to get pushed to the top. There's probably a lot more layers to it I don't even know, honestly. But that's why they try to piggyback stuff off of already popular pages.

I wonder if he’s psychologically capable. Literally everything he did as governor of Florida was just prep work for a presidential run as the next Trump.  Like, the actual job of governing the state was not even a priority, so much as a side-effect.  Dropping out is essentially admitting it was all for nothing and his life’s work is meaningless.

I kinda get that vibe from him too. Like shuffling back to Florida in defeat and just being governor is infathomable for him. There was no plan B for losing. And I shudder to think what sort of governing he would do in an even more bitter and cynical state of mind.

  5. I like that Trump's lawyer makes an argument against prosecuting Presidents that actually sounds like an argument.... for? Prosecuting Presidents?

Taking the hypotheticals even farther, Sauer looked back to history, and raised the possibility of past presidents being charged for some of their most controversial official actions.

“Could George W. Bush be prosecuted for obstruction of an official proceeding for allegedly giving false information to Congress, to induce the nation to go to war in Iraq under false pretenses? … Could President Obama be potentially charged for murder for allegedly authorizing drone strikes targeting US citizens located abroad?”

    Oh the horror!

Trump falsely said that Biden had stumbled over the word ‘democracy’ during a speech, and mocked him for a speech impediment.

Maybe you're not the best person to criticize others for misspeaking, Don.

“a political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition.”

A lot of what you stated is just stuff you don’t agree with or categorizing things in ways I don’t agree with. Fascism is the Heritage Foundation’s proposal to centralize power in the executive branch if a Republican wins this year.

Idiots calling anything they don't like fascism...

I encourage you to actually read about any of those things, not least because I massively oversimplified things and almost assuredly said something wrong. But the story of the beginnings of laws based on race and the story of Bacon's rebellion are fascinating and they do intertwine.

I'm too ADHD for that but I appreciate your cliffnotes version!
