  1. Wade can run the board however he sees fit.  It's his money, and I appreciate what he is doing to keep the community alive.

IMHO, you shouldn't feel the need to justify yourself.  Block.  Refrain from personal attacks.  Be Happy.

I also don't think you should make a big deal when you block someone.  Just do it.

Enjoy your life.  Play video games.  Have some great pizza.  But, don't feed the trolls.

After the first mainline story, I actually started the other ones to get those tools and then went back to complete the main quests. This was mostly because I know my memory is terrible and there's no way I was going to remember to come back when I had the appropriate equipment.

Glad I'm not the only one that pretty much skipped food and valor. I played on normal difficulty, but it's probably more important at higher difficulties. I think I ate all of one meal and activated valor the one time the tutorial asks you to.

I think the way you did it is probably the right way.

You're probably right on the higher difficulties requiring those systems.  They probably also require a ridiculous amount of time farming machines/wildlife to upgrade weapons as well.

  3. There is so much to do in this game.  It really is a time suck.  I would guess I'm 1/2 to 2/3 the way through the main story.  A couple of thoughts:

    1)  I wish I had mainlined the story a little more early on.  Unlocking all 4 "metroidvania" tools early on is, IMHO, probably better than doing side content

    2)  I have mostly ignored the food and valour upgrades.  You only seem to need them against the toughest bosses.

    3)  I think this game would be a lot better with less side content and systems.  I'm not always sure whether doing something is actually that useful for progression

That said, I am having a blast while playing it.

  4. @best3444 My advice to you on keeping a better positive outlook.

    1)  Block early and often

    2)  Don't respond with personal attacks

    3)  When someone responds to a point you make with personal attacks and virtue signaling, recognize they have nothing more useful to say on the topic and see 1) and then change the topic to why pineapple on pizza is a travesty

    4)  Be happy

When I was a practicing public accountant, the statement of cash flows was the financial report that I paid the most attention to as I considered it the one that was the most important in determining the overall health of a company, far more than the income statement.

They absolutely both give you different info.  In terms of short/medium term viability the CF statement does tell much of the story.  I think EKWB is a private company though.

Yup - slow payment of vendor invoices is a sure sign of cash flow problems either from lower revenues or issues with the collection of receivables (which have already been booked as revenue) from customers.

True, it could have been caused by one of EK's customers not paying them.

Nobody likes it when companies have to slow pay their suppliers, including senior management.  It's usually a choice between doing that, or closing their doors.

Of course, as usual, Steve doesn't really have any insight into what's actually going on in the business.

  7. Based on this video, EK has a significant liquidity crunch.

The reason this normally happens, is when the revenue is not coming in when expected.  Slow paying cash is frequently what companies do when they have a significant cash crunch.

Given Steve's video, I suspect this will hit their sales even further.  I wouldn't be surprised of they cease to exist in the near future.  Without any of those bills being paid.

Penix is going to be very good, it's just that they drafted a QB after spending a ton on Cousins. Nix will be trash and Payton will be fired after this year.

Even with modern data analytics increasing the value of QBs, there appears to be a huge drop-off between the top 3 QBs and the next 3.

QBs are a huge gamble anyways, the likelihood that Penix will ever be more than a bottom-ten starter is actually really low.  Could he turn out to be an elite QB?  Absolutely, Tom Brady and Brock Purdy defied what scouts thought of them.

But, you're right, spending the money on Cousins and then drafting Penix makes zero sense.
