The fastest single GPU: Geforce GTX 2080 Ti = $1100

I've read a theory that MLB really wanted to have a larger audience for the game, so they probably worked with Sony to do whatever it took to get this on as many platforms as possible.

I don't follow the current ratings of Baseball, but aren't all the demographic trends leaning very heavily towards the older crowd still watching, but not growing at all with younger viewers.  MLB could see having baseball game like this out to as many possible people as a positive thing, specifically with Xbox being a very US centric console.  Even with the huge install base PS4 has over Xbox, in the US last I knew it was still relatively close.

I'm amazed at how much Fifa got some friends of mine, and my nephews, into watching European League Soccer games. They knew the players from Fifa, and they started watching religiously due to Fifa sparking the interest.

Of course this could all be bullshit, but made some sense to me.

It's the smallest things that can get you hooked on a sport. My friends are into soccer and last year my buddy agreed to join my fantasy football league if I joined their Fantasy Premier League and I got hooked instantly. I am more into that now than fantasy football and ended up winning our 18 team league last year and I couldn't have named 1 player before hand, but researched like crazy. I have watched pretty much every Liverpool game in the last year.  I wish NFL had something similar to that setup.

Well back in the day 2K got the exclusive license to make baseball games but only a 3rd party license so first party games were free to make MLB games.

And now 2K doesn't make baseball games so I guess it's anyone's to make and the RBI games are the only other game out there that use the license.

I guess Out of the Park Baseball has the license too but it's PC only and a manager sim.

I wonder why EA hasn't brought back MVP. MVP 05 was amazing. Then Sega bought the rights to counter EA buying the NFL rights, fucking everyone over for both NFL and MLB games

From what I understand Rockstar launcher doesn’t offer refunds. Pretty nice feature to have when your launcher doesn’t launch your games.

Fuck you there's no such thing as input delay! I'm a raging, lifelong alcoholic and so my dramatically slowed reflexes meant the game felt totally normal to me. It's very normal for a human to not notice over half a second of something not responding! I take at least 5 seconds to hit the brakes at a red light!

The amount of shit you have to download for this is beyond stupid. Someone explain to me why I’m downloading over 100GB including 4 damn “DLC’s” just to play a short campaign MP focused game. Shit is ridiculous.

Being a long time BF player, i hated Ground War when I tried it.  It seems to primarily be for people that like racking up kill streaks sniping.  If you like close combat aggressive gameplay, it's horrid.

It's just non stop kill streaks, vehicle spam, ect.  Nothing feels tactical at all.

That being said, I love the regular MP so far.  I have it on both PC and Xbox.  Went on a nice 10 game win streak last night, it's been fun.  I like the unlocks for guns, lots of ways to tweak your builds.  Looking forward to spending more time with it.

How well does 1440 scale on the C9? Does text read well?

Also, does HDR work at 120Hz?

Looks good to me, but I am about 7- 8’ from a 55”. It looks better than 1080p does. It’s really no different than games on consoles that use non native resolutions like 1800p

Here is a pic of GTA 1080p vs 1440p I took to give you a bit of an idea.

Really, it is no different than the calling of 720p on a 1080p screen. The resolutions are just doubled up.

I am really excited to try Modern Warfare at 1440/120 tonight

I guess I’m misunderstanding what you’re talking about then. Why would you set your refresh rate to 66hz then? Set the refresh rate to 60hz and enable VSync (as you’re supposed to with GSync) and your fps won’t exceed 60fps to put you out of the “GSync range”.

Yes it will. You’re supposed to set your frame rate 2-3 FPS below your monitors max or it will sometimes go into vsync. This TV can’t go over 60hz on 4k out of the box so I am going to hopefully OC it to at least 63 if the gsync range will go that high so I can lock 4k to 60 FPS and not worry about it going out of gsync range into vsync

@Rbk_3 it works but it also messes up my color hue, warmth, etc. Did you have this issue as well?

It automatically puts it in Auto Low Latency Mode like the Xbox does now. It probably changed your TV presets to a different mode? Mine looks fine

How does it look and feel? Other than color issues, does it feel as smooth as GSync on a computer monitor? Does it feel like the future of living room gaming?

I didn't get a lot of play time with it but I tried GTA at 1440/120 and it felt butter smooth.

I was able to OC it to 4K 66hz so I am hoping that will allow me to lock my framerate to 60hz and not have to worry about going out of Gsync in 4k but I haven't played around with it yet

  10. Gsync update has secretly been available for weeks in the Nvidia 440.52 beta driver, no update to the TV required

440.52 can be found here. This is Nvidia general update to enable VRR over HDMI.  Unpack the folder and find setup.exe. You will have to enable Gsync in Nvidia Control Panel as the display isn't officially validated yet. That TV update should come out shortly.
