We ever gonna move beyond this 5GHz threshold? I feel like, overclocking included, we've been here foreeeever. And games still don't seem to utilize multiple cores as well as they do raw speed.

I know it is only 6 cores, but my 9600k runs stable at 5.2ghz at 1.31V.

I kind of want to sell it and upgrade to a 9900K to future proof myself with out needing to get a new board in the future, but I will likely be going backwards in terms of core clocks.

What do houses cost in Canada? A banana?

Do you refinance every 5 years?

Do you get fucked after 5?

Looks like >10yr is higher than the ol' US of Freedom

If you did a 5yr fixed you can get a low rate here too but that's riiiiiissssskkky

Houses in Ontario are expensive as hell. In my small town we bought for 250k 3 years ago, now similar ones are going for 350k. The nearest city 45 min away is over 500k average and Toronto 2 hours away is over 1m average for a detached.  Average in the province is 480k

Rate here have been under 3% for more than a decade. It’s just how the system is here. 25 year but you renew every 5 years, or shorter if you choose.

@Rbk_3 sorry to hear you are going through that. You always hope tv buying is quick and easy. Years ago I had to return a tv and just trying to pack it all up and haul it back was stressful enough.  Let alone multiple times. I would definitely take that one back though, looks horrible.

Opted for the 55” this time as I read your luck is better with the 55. It’s damn near perfect compared to those 65s. So relieved. Would prefer a 65 but I’ll happily take a tint free 55

I had to have the panel on my B7 replaced because of that red tinting nonsense. Local tv repair guy swapped it and LG paid for it. So he made a few other tweeks on their dime too haha. But yeah my fingers are crossed every day that it doesn’t pop up again.

Yours developed it over time? Or did you just not notice it right way?  That is shitty if it can just pop up later on too

Thanks, yeah you would expect a $3000 TV not to be tinted like a rainbow. The store is going to let me come in and look at one before I do an exchange to make sure it is ok before I take it home. I don't expect it to be perfect, but this just isn't acceptable to me

I mean what would we expect from 2013 hardware using a cpu that was already semi outdated in 2013?  Isn’t this the norm for most gens?  End of gen cycle games tend to run like shit cause they are pushing the performance boundaries?

Seriously, that shitty ass Jaguar is holding this generation back so much. At least with the 360, it launched with a half decent processor and was able to last a lot longer.  They should have put a better processor in it instead of bundling a Kinect with every unit.

That’s really weird, try going on r/hometheater on reddit. I haven’t seen too many people report things like this, so it could either be there’s a “break-in period” or you had bad luck twice in a row. My B7 definitely doesn’t have this issue (not helpful, I know :p )

It's pretty common, unfortunately. The masses just don't seem to notice or care.  I watch hockey so it sticks out like a sore thumb on that.

Here is a 60 page thread on the tinting with a lot of examples. Some people in that thread went through like 8 sets before finding one they deemed acceptable. I don't know what store would let you do that though.  There are plenty in there that people returned that I would be happy with.

The near black issues can improve with break in, but as far as tinting, it seems to be what you see is what you get.

  8. Well, Google themselves have just stopped making Android tablets, so that should tell you the state of that side of things.

You just can't go wrong with the 9.7" current iPad for $329 IMO. Especially since you're already in the eco system. Or if you want to spend a little more, the iPad Air.

Another cheaper option is an Amazon Fire HD10 which is a great option for streaming if that's mostly what it's used for at only $149.  It has a weak app selection though.

Since I am playing FS19 I did a John Deere theme. Later I will change it to blue and yellow for the Rams. Really happy how it turned out.
