There is literally only one person on the planet that wants this war. Fucking kill his goddammed ass.

Easier said than done. Not to mention that Putin is not the only high ranking person in Russia that wants this war. The only way Putin gets removed any time soon would be via an internal movement.

  2. Ah yes. My pet peeve when flying internationally. Flying in an ICAO country and people not using the standard language (English) thus reducing situational awareness for anyone that doesn't speak the local language.

As an example when that 777 does a early go-around I would like to know since that means I will be more likely to be flying through their wake turbulence as a result. Huge safety issue. Especially for small aircraft.

That said, I haven't flown a 777 but I do recognize the autopilot disconnect sound. The other sounds like a master caution.

No idea what happened but it probably sounds worse than it actually was.

According to this thread, a series of government planes have left Moscow in the last few hours, spreading across central and northern Russia. The theory is that officials have left Moscow to bunker locations. But...why?

Perhaps they are collecting troops from other locations to bring to Ukraine like mentioned earlier in the thread?

Wow. So Ukraine was planning to not only take Donbas back, but also invade Russia? This matches up with Intel showing bio warfare labs the Russians have found and the plans for a Ukrainian dirty nuke.

Not invade Russia. Take back Crimea. Just part of their propaganda.

I've noticed that European officials are the ones giving out the most hysterical/sensational/blood-curdling information about Russian intentions while American officials are providing far more sober, fact-based information.

Well, considering German intelligence was completely wrong from the start I would say they could be having a knee-jerk reaction.

I can all but assure you that Azov would do the same act if the invaders were Jews.

Azov are Nazis and they did it for purely racist reasons.  Period.  End of story.

I didn't recall the video being from them. If it was then yes, they would likely even attack and do the same thing.

I'm just saying the action itself (outside of neo-Nazis) is not necessarily born out of hate but a potential counter to an invading force.

Edit: We can stop. I ultimately am just starting to get pissed off about how terms get misused and diluted within culture when they should have an impact.

Carry on with the tweet feed 👍

My basic ask is: is racism (or extreme prejudice) a good thing if it is working towards a good goal? It's basically, do the ends justify the means? Obviously in this case the pig fat on bullets is going to do nothing to actually deter Muslim combatants from coming over. It's done out of spite, not for any worthy goal.

The Azov battalion are Nazis and should be dissolved.

This is war. No way to know if the strategy works or not. It's entirely possible for people to do it for just the mental impact and not actually hate the race or religion. They are the invading enemy.

If the video was from Azov then it likely has more meaning attached. The action itself isn't racist or necessarily prejudiced.

You are really going full Demut here. Okay, let me rephrase it's so you'll hopefully address that actual clear point I am making instead of arguing over semantics:

That's...not a good argument. It's like saying that denying service to Mormons in a town is a good thing if it prevents more Mormons from coming to the anti-Mormon town so they won't be harassed.

I reread your statement and revised mine. Didn't get to it quick enough...

That said the "Mormans" in this case are intending to bring guns and kill the people in the town. They are the attackers.

    Not anywhere close.

Last I checked the Jews in your scenario weren't coming into town with guns. This is war.

Wait, you're saying that rubbing pig fat on bullets intended for Muslims is not racism? Unless I am misunderstanding.

Like @mclumber1 said, Islam is not a race. It is a religion. It is practice by all sorts of races.

It also isn't a stretch to assume a majority of soldiers that Syria would send over would be Muslims.

The mental warfare with the pig fat could actually save lives on both sides. If Syrians bail out then that is less Syrians and Ukrainians dead. Overall a good thing yes?

It's revanchist nationalism. Maybe not exactly White Power but they're chapters from the same book.

Perhaps. I am just calling out a poor use of terms that really makes the left look like idiots. Just like that pig fat thing from earlier. Also not racism.

Unless the guy was saying racist stuff in the video the action itself is no more than mental warfare.

He said they’re the indistinguishable not just similar. Pretty big difference!

He isn't correct but leaping to it being clear racism is a stretch. That is my point. There is a good chance he is simply ignorant of their differences in general.

We don't know which means throwing out labels is premature.

These trumpest party can’t help but hide their racism no matter the issue

If they weren't different then why do they fight back?

They clearly don't want anything to do with Russia.

That said I wouldn't necessarily say it is racism. Their cultures do have some overlap and that may be what he is referring to (I didn't watch the video just FYI).
