  1. Honestly I'll be more interested in polls the closer we get to the election.

IMO Trump voters tend to be more likely to be active further away from an election due to their cult like mentality. These people have been buying Trump political crap (flags, shirts, etc) since Biden took office. Last summer I still saw people with boats full of trump crap on one of the lakes nearby along with homes completely kit with Trump crap on the shore.

Trump is what these people have centered their entire personality around. It really is sad to see.

It's even worse than that, Paypal will then charge the seller a fee for transaction cancellation.

Happened to me once. Got scammed out my sold item on top a $20 fee after the buyer issued a refund. Paypal told me there was nothing they can do because "the bank" charged the cancellation fee that they happily passed along to me.

    Good point.

Apparently people screw streamers that way all the time. Do a bunch of $1 donations and then refund it all back. Every $1 donation comes with something like a $15 fee for the streamer.

I personally had no issue with getting a long lasting entrance visa to China with my us passport but one annoying issue I did have is I had gotten Canadian PR status before a trip over one time and still had my paper in my passport for pr approval (as I was still waiting on my pr card). Flying in was fine but we did a day trip to hk and on the way back we got stuck at the border because they didn’t know what that paper was about and held us while they had to check. :/

People tend to get extra passports for China because they take it and hold onto it for some time. If you don't travel out if the country very often then surrendering your passport for a bit obviously won't be as much if a problem.

I certainly can imagine China freaking out about random paperwork 🤣

Never ever keep any money in PayPal, the yoinking the money over two years later is new to me but in general they're notorious for grabbing money out of accounts and refusing to give it back.

When I learned how PayPal treats sellers I stopped using them. People would buy a product on ebay or something and then the buyer would claim they didn't get the product and Paypal would automatically refund them no questions asked from the seller's account.

I may or may not have sold a WoW charactor a long time ago. It was a common PayPal scam at the time.

I misinterpreted what you meant originally and listed the passports I possess rather than realizing you were giving examples of places where multiple passports would be useful for entry.

I thought I deleted that text and didn't post it. My brain must be mush.

Anyway yes, I went in a different direction

Just thinking about how many ways someone might have multiple US passports.

The new system also makes it impossible to go drinking on your 21st birthday since now you have to wait for the new ID in the mail instead of them just printing it at the DMV.

Not really. They issue a temporary license you can use in combination with your old license. At least that was the case two states I have lived in since Real ID implementation.

But if he gets a 4000 series he can use dlss3 in DD2 (puredark released this one free since it just unlocks native implementation) which will give a huge cpu boost as well!

Honestly I haven't seen any benchmarks. The cities are what cause the CPU issues because they start a thread for pretty much every single NPC on screen. DLSS3 wouldn't fix that.

I haven't really tried reinstalling Windows I think. I tried the Windows Media Creation tool and I tried the Windows Update Assistant. I also tried installing the next update via the ISO shit, but I didn't try to install an update that is older than the current version or to reinstall the current version. I haven't tried to "downgrade" or "sidegrade" via an ISO file.

That could work. It should still give you the option to keep your data I believe.

I haven't because, uh, it doesn't look like it will solve anything?????

    Ah, fun.

Ok when you try to reinstall windows what version are you using?

You could try to use an older ISO file. That way if there is some odd incompatibility it will at least reinstall windows and hopefully clean up bad drivers and such.

Older versions of windows are available from Microsoft at the below link. You may need to sign up for Visual Studio but it is free.

  10. We have it in NC (big surprise right?)

It is literally legislation with minimal teeth. Foreign based websites literally don't give a fuck and give you open access regardless of where you live. This only hurts the US porn industry. People will just meander to other options.

Indiana has a bill where people will be able to sue sites that don't implement the identification measures. Not exactly sure how they will sue foreign sites like XVideos that is regulated by EU law.

The republican view of the internet continues to remain myopic.

  11. I'm in an odd spot with cars. 2016 WRX with 37000 miles. Completely paid off.

Part of me wants a new car. Possibly an EV but I honestly wonder if I actually reduce my carbon footprint with a gas car since I barely drive it 🤣

When you only drive to work once a week at most and most errands are within 5 miles you really don't rack up that much mileage on a car.

If they came out with a performance plug-in hybrid that would be awesome. Sadly it only exists in the form of supercars from ten years ago or so. I don't think I could afford a McLaren P1 anytime soon 🤔

As cool as a Plaid would be to drive I really don't want to support Elon Musk. Not to mention Tesla is sort of the Apple of the car industry. Horrible policies and too much control of your car.

I doubt we can count on that given the enormity of the precedence this would set. I think the SC will take this one up.

I honestly can see them voting not to take the case. Especially since they didn't take it before.

The good news is that Trump is forced to appeal the case by Monday rather than wait on the full DC Circuit first.
