From my understanding Iron Galaxy only helped out a little bit.

Also, what's with all the shitting on Iron Galaxy? They helped out with Metroid Prime remaster, they helped with the  Uncharted collection for PC which didn't have any issues from what I can remember. 🤷‍♀️

Also speaking about that part of the game I think I made things more difficult for myself (or maybe easier?) because I took on that "dog" quest before I battled the enemies in the area so I had to battle the dog and all the crazy ass enemies there at the same time.

Are you asking if there are non-anime fighting games with cool storylines? Like you said MK is probably the cream of the crop. Tekken's stories are generally an important part of the game but if you're asking about anything recently not really. Guilty Gear has a "story mode" that is like 8 hours long or something but you don't play it. That being said it's on Game Pass so if you want to look at story mode for no cost you can do that right now.

Early on after you get her from the church and return to the first area she got killed by the cow somehow. The cow doesn't move in this part it just chills out but somehow she got killed by it.

It's not an anime fighter but cool storyline, sure!

It's got an assist mode so you don't have to get 1337. Tekken generally has good single player content so you might worry about getting 1337 even less.

But the devs specifically said that it would run on the steam deck. So either you get it to run on the steam deck or you say it can't.

I remember that show, haven't thought about it in a while. I enjoyed it from what I remember. Typical Fox show that gets cancelled before it has a chance to get off the ground.
