If yall FF noobs are liking part 2 you're gonna love part 3 whatever they call it. Some of the moments in that last quarter are part of gaming legend and I'll leave it at that

Lol. Who knows how long I'll keep at 16. My main goal is to beat Rebirth. 🙌
Well I'm trying to finally finish GoW Ragnarok so I kinda get it. Finishing FF16 will be on the back burner for now though along with Rebirth

So I'm enjoying FF16 lol. The music is really good. I'm not sure how far I'll get but it's good which I expect earlier on.
You stopped played Rebirth and went back to 16?

What did you think of 16? I think I need to give it another shot and not reminisce on my first playthrough. It wasn't a particularly good time for me.
I don't know.. I think I need to give it another shot to tbh. I was enjoying the story for the most part and the world and music but it started to drag. I do want to finish it though

Oh ok. I'm sure I'll get the FF itch again at some point but I'm still kinda hung over from 16 for now

Oh no, it’s main story in remake. Pretty much all of FF7 OG Midgar happens. Only thing I can think of that doesn’t is them getting imprisoned in Shinra tower before Sephiroth’s attack.
Whats weird is I played and beat remake and don't even remember that

Still can't believe this and Rise of Ronin are releasing the same day. Seems like it's been a while since two AAA games have released together like this.
Its weird but I'm leaning more towards Rise of Ronin, because I really liked Dragons Dogma

The church part is the main quest. He meant the other stuff where you interact with her more is in the side quests.
10-4. Seemed like they took main quest scenarios and made them side quests to add more time to Rebirth. Maybe I'll play it at some point and see for myself but just can't be bothered by it at the moment

Yes. In Remake he meets her in the church where he fought Reno and saved Aerith.
That's main story line in FF7 OG not a side quest. Maybe they made it a side quest in the remakes which is odd but nah, not a side quest originally. Maybe peeps should save up some money and pay attention (not directed at you Biggie)

Are you playing this?
Nah. I'm working on an ancient back log of God of War Ragnarok at the moment

The thing is, this game is very far from a JRPG.
If anything this game is closest to a Horizon or open world Ubi game complete with towers you have to unlock. Then all the sidequests are very [insert western RPG here] with a battle system that is super crazy.
It certainly does have it's quirky moments but saying someone is new to JRPGs in regards to this game is disingenuous.
Yes but some of the things that are 'padding' game time like forced mini games etc have been in JRPGs since the mid 90s and maybe even before

It's so good doe. You know you want to play this tonight!
Not really tbh. I definitely will at some point but I've learned how to swim in a backlog and I better stick to that lest I drown

There's one character where his teeth are supposed to be that way but I won't spoil anything

Between getting back into Bloodborne, wanting to FINALLY go through GoW Ragnarok then Rise of Ronin, then Dragons Dogma 2 the same day.. There's ALMOST no chance I'll play this any time soon. Maybe the ginormous difference between performance and visual will be ironed out by then

I need to get a Deck so I can try out this piece of shit game in handheld mode
8 hours ago, Biggie said:Honestly I enjoyed what I played of it but at a certain point it became to challenging. I know I can summon help but I didn’t want to be bothered by all that and I lack focus and determination that these games require. Sekiro was great until it wasn’t.
Are you even aware.. Nevermind

What the...?!? Are you goons calling me a "casual" gamer because I don't like From Software's BS?
YOU'RE ALL PERMABANNED EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
Listen. I don't mind challenging games. I've gone through the OG Xbox's Ninja Gaiden. I beat Gamecube's F-ZERO GX. Practically the entire Castlevania series is my bitch. But those games at least don't pull this garbage of putting an enemy that can "stomp you into a mud hole" right up front. And the excuse of "oh, well you can just go somewhere else what's the problem?" doesn't hold water. Why is there anything near the start that can do that? It doesn't make any sense.
I'll give it another shot soon. See how it goes.
Like I said it's a staple of the series
Demons Souls - Stray Demon
Dark Souls - Asylum Demon
Dark Souls 2 - Fat ass Hippo creature
Dark Souls 3 - Ludex Gundyr
Bloodborne - Werewolf

This game was a best seller, and was universally acclaimed. Lots of casuals are able to figure it out.
Yeah there's TONS of walk throughs, a dedicated Fextralife Wiki and literally thousands upon thousands of YouTube videos to become OP within an hour or two of gameplay

I understand he's complaint though. Why have an enemy that powerful so close to the beginning area? It's dumb BUT completely avoidable I get it.
It's been in souls games since Adam and Eve. If you play his games like casual games he'll show you he doesn't make games for casual gamers

Do you guys not read my posts? I specifically said I went in the direction AWAY from it! To avoid fighting it. And it still chased me down and killed me, LOL.
I mean...okay.
Well it's not meant to be fought as soon as you come out of the first dungeon. Enticing? Absolutely but it will stomp you into a mud hole

What?
My play log says I played for around half an hour. Some of that was character creation and tutorial stuff, though. But you’re not wrong, it’s in the beginning of the game…and that’s what pisses me off about it! Why put something like that right in the beginning?! That’s NOT good game design, that’s just trolling the player. I hate that.
And I tried not fighting it. But it chased me down and one-shotted me. So I rage quit. *shrug*
I dunno. Maybe since I’ve calmed down I’ll give it another try. I WANT to give this game a fair shake. I just hate, hate, *HATE* this kind of garbage right up front in an adventure RPG.
How is it bad game design when you can literally go ANY where else and increase your stats and come back?

I like ER WAY more. DS2 feels bad to play. There is a game feel that has existed since Demon's Souls, but DS2 does NOT have that game feel. It is a bit abstract, but I find it to be awful. Some people get what I mean whereas others think it feels the same. DS2 doesn't feel like a FromSoft Souls game to me. It feels like a game made by a different developer. DS2 feels like a Souls-like rather than a Souls game.
It definitely has a different feel than Demons Souls, Dark Souls 1 and 3 and Bloodborne. The movement is...off. There's some good concepts in the area design, some enemies and bosses and lore but it's clearly made by a team that didn't have a decent amount of experience
