Dragons Dogma 2 and Rise of the Ronin with the latter being much better IMHO

That doesn't look appealing at all. Maybe I'm not the demographic 🤷

I CANNOT STAND this mechanic. I despise having to hold down R1 while attacking. It feels so unnatural to me.
Yup. Switched to Warrior and IMMIDIATELY switched back because of that. And attacks are entirely too slow. Nothing fun about that class

True, but Rise of the Ronin has a lot more going on than Ghost of Tsushima.
That's true too. And I enjoy the combat MUCH more in Rise than in Ghosts

It's impressive that game is 4 years old created for PS4 and still holds its own against a CURRENT GEN game on the PS5. Engine is everything

Well well. This game is pretty dang good. So far I'm enjoying it more than DD2. Should have never doubted Team Ninja open world and all. It definitely has that 'just one more thing' to it. Looking forward to more time with it

There is alot of frustration in this game. It literally brings it down from a 9/10 to a 6/10. Exploration could be so good if I didn’t have to fight monsters ever 25 seconds. Quests with no direction on what to do or how to accomplish them is a time waste. Just quit beating around the bush and tell me what the fuck to do already. Pawns say the same shit over and over. If you don’t have something important to tell me then shut the fuck up. No beast glossary letting you know the beasts you’ve defeated already are weak to like fire/electric/ice. It’s like everytime I boot the game up to play I uncover more things that frustrate me and make the game less and less enjoyable.
As much as I enjoyed DD that's what irked me over time with that one and it seems to be rearing it's ogre head in this one as well. Is what it is. Guess I'm on to Rise of the Ronin

I really dont like how you're constantly fighting the inventory and at the same time the game doesn't want you to fast travel. Those 2 things contribute to one another in a way that makes things frustrating.. For me anyway

You must have missed my post where I stopped playing this all together. I'll come back to it in a draught.
I did. My bad. Not that great I take it

Parrying is very forgiving in this. It's a really fun combat system overall.
How are you liking this compared to DD2?

Fuck that. No way I’m playin this dogshit game that long.
Why are you playing a 'dogshit' game at all lol There's a metric ton of games to move on to. I'm considering Rise of the Ronin myself

Are we still having fun with this? It’s kinda turned into a walking simulator for me. I might need a break, idk.
Kinda in the same boat honestly. I think I'm about to focus on story for a while and see if it changes

I've never died as a fighter other than falling one time. As an archer I died 4-5 times. The game definitely seems to want you to get in there and mix it up as opposed to sniping from a distance

Not sure if this has been discussed, you can put your materials in your storage and you can still enhance your equipment without it being on your person/pawns.
I'll have to try this. I thought you needed it with you to upgrade but if so this will REALLY lighten my load
-
I feel like everything that you can carry and have in your inventory should have it's weight reduced by half or even more. I've never had an inventory system stress me out so much lol
I shouldn't be so worried about picking and choosing when it gives you the opportunity to pick up almost everything. Guess it's a life lesson or something

But what is there really to do? I'm exploring and opening up side quests but I can't see this game being 100 hours. Unless I'm completely missing something here.
I think you're wanting it to be shorter because you're playing so much at one time lol

I've read numerous posts, articles etc where people have already gotten 100+ hrs and have only done a handful of main stuff. There's PLENTY of content in this game. I mean I can beat Elden Ring in 10-12 hrs and that's EASILY a multiple hundreds of hours game
