That’s why, as now it can benefit from the ethernet connection through the mesh directly (wirelessly) connected to the router. If you had the Shield connected via WiFi I doubt you’d notice much of a (if any) difference even if the chip in the Shield was 6e. You’re likely also streaming 4k UHD HDR/DV content which is not the same as streaming 1080p 60hz SDR.

You’re looking at, what, 6-7 megabits for 1080p 60? Wifi 5 has 6.9Gbps (theoretical) and typically gets around 4Gbps in actual scenarios. You’d need a hell of a lot of interference to get noticeable quality differences between 5 and 6e here at 1080p streaming.

Its not just about bandwidth though. Interference and network congestion can cause dropped packets, jitter and latency which is a big deal in some games.

In places like apartment complexes, interference can be hell.

  2. Wifi 6E is better not just of bandwidth but because basically no one uses 6Ghz you get 0 interference so its much less prone to frame drops.  I have a 6e mesh node connected to an nvidia shield via a 1Gb ethernet cable and its just so much better at streaming high bitrate movies than regular old Wifi 5.

Yeah that's self-inflcted. Martin decided to focus on other projects rather than finish these books because he had other stuff that he wanted to do. Go and look at all of the other stuff he's been involved with in the last ten years. Frankly, I think it's more likely that he's OVER The Song of Fire and Ice books and wants to be done with them but his ego won't let him finish. He KNOWS the ending to the story, it's not like he has to think any of this stuff up. The broad strokes of the plot have been there for years. He'd much rather leave the story unfinished than give the fans what they want. Other authors have even offered to step in and help him finish and he just refuses.

It also might be that GoT ending was HIS ending and well we saw what happened there.

Mike Johnson may have avoided a shutdown, but the House GOP is still emotionally raw from its 22-day speakership fight.

Yeah, that's totally hilarious, Tom.  Totally hilarious.

These guys should be on late night.

I feel like the silent generation/very early baby boomers was the last generation of fully formed emotional adults.  Everyone after that are gray haired children.

I don't necessarily have an issue with the actors not using accents but more they didn't use French people. Now, more than ever, entertainment is global. Anyone can fire up a Japanese / Korean / Chinese / etc show off of Netflix and watch it anywhere. Korean shows regularly bring an English speaking person on as some weird foreigner, but they generally don't use them as the main protagonist. Koreans are Korean and Aussies are Aussies.

Sure Joaquin Phoenix is a great actor but it's strange placing him in the shoes of a French person. It's kind of like when they cast John Doman as the Pope in Borgia, great actor but just sounded like a dude from PA rather than a Pope from Spain. There has never been a better time to cast someone more fit for the part.

As a small aside not related to movies, this is one of the reasons I love Tekken. Everyone in Tekken speaks the language from the company they represent regardless of where the game was released. This is the way to do it.

Or the bar scene in Inglorious Basterds

Well, mine isn't the same as the other minimalist wallets. I posted it above but it isn't a card stack. It's more like an inside-out wallet. I can slide out any card with just my thumb and it does have an id port. I'd never buy the card stack ones.

So, I do have easy access to everything and I don't even have to open it up. I can just flash my id.

That one isn't too bad but I carry more cards than that and I prefer not to have my ID shown unless I open my wallet. And TBH I don't really think its that much smaller than my ol trusty bifold.

I don't need anything bigger. I got like 5 card shaped objects and that's it. No point in a fold for me.

Yeah but its annoying to have to actually use anything in that stack.

My id is easily shown with a flip. I can quickly get anything out of my wallet while with a minimalist card stack you have to dig out whatever you want.

Ill take a slightly bulkier wallet for being able to quickly access everything in it.
