I like it better than HDR 10 since it seems less over the top

Im happy he was dumb enough to have locked stock so he couldn't just cash out. 

I hope they string him up by his toes.

I don't know if the top brass intentionally targeted them but I do think there is a segment in Israel that hates the aid workers and wants to use starvation to bring the Palastinians to their knees.

And commanders have quite a bit flexiblity to make their own decisions. 

I've been reading/listening to the Wheel of Time series (listening on my bike workouts). I'm about 70% through book 4 and I'm enjoying it for the most part so far.

Things I like about the series so far

-The world and lore

-Distinct characters

-Tolkenesque in the use of fantasy languages

-The One power is a cool magic system.

Things that I don't like

-The romances are shallow so far. Only one worth a crap is

-The whole "men are always one way while women are always the other" bs is incredibly irksome. I can overlook it but it drags the series down. 

-Not enough Min

So I do think it has some part in its decline, I think it is looked at a bit differently here since the move to full raging vocal chud, and certainly doesn’t help. Though I agree competition is what’s really getting them, I think in at least in some areas, he himself can be the reason why people choose the competition.

I know I will never give that man a penny.
