Just when Beth and Kyle Long received the worst news of their life, an Ohio law made their searing pain even worse.

Tragic story made worse by so-called pro-life laws

I'm trying to think of a response that isn't pure snark but oh look, more proof that pro-life laws hurt those they say they're looking out for. Shit like this will scar families for years and possibly put them off ever having children. I've said it before but with all the shit my wife went though trying to have kids, if we lived in the states we would have given up after the first or second attempt over this kind of bullshit. Instead we have almost 2 year old and another due any day now.

Man even watching that news segment was triggering for me knowing what it's like to be in that position to say goodbye to a baby you couldn't have.  I'm the only one in the family who actually held them (my wife was too scared to even see them).

This is where my religious upbringing comes to the fore. The potential for absolute disaster here was extremely high and not one but TWO extremely unlikely things happened one right after the other. That's nothing short of miraculous providence to me.

That or a statement on the quality of Russian engineering. :p

Is a person who favors a 20 week abortion cutoff pro-life or pro-choice?

Pro-Life because there is no actual reason to ban after 20 weeks. This mythical person who is aborting a baby in 3rd trimester because they no longer feel like having one isn't reality. It instead harms women who need a termination due to a failing pregnancy.

  5. I hate the term pro-life because in no part do they actual show a vested interest in anybodys life. No care for the mothers life nor of the child after birth nor later in life when they're ok with gunning them down while they jack off to their gun fetish.

I'll continue with my position that if you're for any restriction on abortion then go fuck yourself.

Then why do you work under that presumption?   Or bother to use it?  I think that’s worth questioning.

I do use it, because generally, I believe in that members of a rational kind shouldn’t be killing each other.  Even if for a time, we’re not capable of that thought processing.  It’s what we’re oriented towards.

So then why are you OK with killing the mother? Restrictions on abortion puts the mothers life at risk.

    Holy shit, what a game.

Why didn't anyone tell me this game was a masterpiece?

Because you didn't listen to Giant Bomb the year it came out or you would have known this :)

Ugg this is still on my backlog pile (switch port). I need to start it soon.

  8. I'll man up and say it

    Spoiler

It was kingdom hearts 1. I also remember the end being a pain in the ass to get through.

Never cried at a game. Or a book. A couple movies have made me tear up a bit.

I just really don’t cry often.

What about looking at the bank account after a buying spree? :D
