Blake grew up in West Baltimore, the same neighborhood that became the focus of so much attention. I thought this essay was thought-provoking enough to be shared. Commodore D Posted August 6, 2019 Share Posted August 6, 2019 Good read, touches on a lot of what I feel have and continue to exacerbate the systemic issues in the black community; personal responsibility (it’s someone else’s fault, pessimism) and black flight (separate and really equal would have been better).
