Fizzzzle Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 117 inmates take over section of downtown St. Louis jail WWW.NBCNEWS.COM The incident began after a "defiant" inmate got into a fight with a corrections officer and other prisoners jumped in, officials said. It's not surprising. From what I've heard about being locked up right now, because of COVID, inmates for the most part aren't getting rec time (not that they do much in jails, anyway), their canteen is getting delayed, visitation is non existent, they're locked down in their cells more often. The biggest issue, though, has been delays with court proceedings. A lot of people locked up in jail have had their court dates postponed. That cuts in two ways. A lot of people who know they're going to prison just want to get it over with, because prison is generally much better than jail. A lot of people who think they have a chance at fighting their case are sitting behind bars while their court dates keep getting pushed back. Either way, that could drive someone crazy. 1 Quote
Littleronin Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 And here I just thought they were celebrating Arenado coming to the Cards. Or they want DeWitt and Mozeliak arrested for the grand theft they pulled on the Rockies. Quote
