Margit. You can't miss him as he quite literally blocks the main entrance into Stormveil Castle.

The Margit battle took me like 2-3 hours. I went with Confessor class so I put a lot of my points into faith. I had 13 in Vigor and 11 Endurance. Got the Bloodhounds Fang and my dex was too low to use it so I kept putting points into dex. So by the time I got to Margit I wasn't high enough in Dex to use the Bloodhounds Fang and too weak to really beat him with pure damage with my current Lordworns Greatsword but I had dropped like 5k in runes so wasn't going to give those up. Literally had to take my time and do perfect dodges to beat him. Now that I beat him I put more points into my Vigor and Strength  I need to respec my character so bad:(

I listened to Dan Ryckert's Fire Escape podcast today, and between all of their Elden Ring praise, and all of the praise in this thread....... I might be making a purchase tonight.....

I'm not soulsborne guy. I tried both DS1 and DS2 and dropped off like an hour in. This games open world design makes it addicting. You know you have to level up to beat a boss so you wander around the world to grind only to be lead on mini adventures and before you know it, 8 hours have gone by. Definitely recommend picking it up. It's like a mature version of Breath of the Wild. And I didn't like Breath of the Wild

    Platinum: "Phil, Let's do it!"

Translation: "Phil, Nintendo's getting pinche and wanting results, we need to resurrect Scalebound so we can finish Bayonetta 3!"

They saw all the money MS has been throwing around and want a piece

Destiny and Destiny 2 being my most played games of the last two generations (One and Series) this worries me a bit. They claim Xbox will still be supported, which could be true. But what I don’t want to see is Xbox getting excluded from some content, like strikes, maps, exotics, armor sets. Sony was fond of paying for platform exclusives while Activision was publishing, and now they just handed Bungie $3.6B. So it would t surprise me if Sony didn’t feel entitled to some more platform exclusives following Which Queen’s release.

Bungie already alienated the Destiny fan base on other platforms by making things 1 year exclusives for Playstation. Most of the Destiny players I know played on Playstation because of this. Xbox player surge didn't happen until Destiny 2 and it came to Game Pass. Destiny was pretty much a Playstation game from the get go.

The sad part is that this might be too little too late as the game is almost dead. While they have done significant changes that have improved the game since launch, depending on the time of day you might not get into a full lobby. The 64 player maps have helped but every now and then you can end up in a match with a good amount of bots. What's worse is that there are even less people are playing the Portal mode portion of the game. Playing conquest on the BF3 and BFBC maps have been more enjoyable than the 2042 maps simply because they are too big, but rarely can I get into a full match that is not a custom game mode. This game feels like it could be another Anthem where they say they are going to fix it and then just drop the support entirely.

I 100% forgot about that game... mostly because I don't play it.  But that is a quality title from them.  But if you look at their wiki page back in the late 90's/early 2000's before MS acquired them they were releasing multiple bangers every year.  Then they got relegated to kinect sports and produced garbage for a long time.

Yeah they spent a lot of time not putting out much. Other than Viva Pinatas and Sea of Thieves nothing memorable came out of them. But at least with Sea of Thieves MS is making money hand over fist so I guess the slump was worth it :p

Also, I'm kinda surprised that Microsoft didn't end up buying them again. MS has a history of being a bit more open-minded about cross platform games and has a history with Bungie (not sure if that's a good or bad thing).

Whatever the case, I just hope that I don't end up having to play Destiny on my Playstation. I played D1 on playstation, but have very much enjoyed D2 on the PC. If there ends up being exclusive content again, that would suck.

For $3.6 billion it's too much for just 1 studio with pretty much just 1 IP. MS already has the advantage when it comes to FPS's and online services. Even with MS spending money left and right that wasn't a good use of their money. Sony on the other hand could use a developer like Bungie and will gladly over pay for it.

Probably a big reason they’re letting them keep their autonomy. But also who said it was a zero risk move? It’s also certainly possible Bungies next IP flops.

But it’s also possible Blizzard(also completely devoid of talent atm) never regains it’s glory and Activisions IPs end up being worthless outside of a CoD which could also begin to decline.

    Everything has risk to it.

At least with Blizzard and Activision they have a massive back catalog that they can add to Game Pass that people will subscribe to play. Bungie only has Destiny.

Fortnite and Apex Battle Passes both had this as well, its pretty standard and was pretty surprising they didn't have it Day 1 for the Premium Battle Pass.

I'm curious to see how they plan to do this. Since currently season passes don't run out. Usually in $10 battle passes that expire they have about $5-10 worth of in game credits that can go towards the next battle pass. Usually they can do this since most people don't finish the season and never get the full amount of credits in the battle pass back. Or could this mean they will eventually expire as well?

  10. I have started playing the game again. It's not as bad as when it was released but it's definitely not the game is should have been. If it wasn't for the 64 player lobbies it would be unplayable. The 128 player maps are too big for conquest. When playing breakthrough there are too many players and you almost always die cuz of some bs. I too was a sucker and bought the $90 version. Sad to say I will never buy another Battlefield unless it somehow releases in a stable state. But we all know that will never happen. EA what have you done to this beloved series

Sony + Square-Enix + Sega + Capcom + Konami + Bandai Namco I could see. Maybe throw in Samsung or Toshiba. But I don't think the large companies would allow others to control them due to pride. (Toshiba/Samsung/Sony)

And what would you be buying? Sonic, Street Fighter, and Metal Gear? Way to win 1996 and 1998.

Street Fighter and Final Fantasy are already exclusives so Xbox wouldn't really be losing anything :p
