That's the toughest part of all of this. IF DLSS gains traction, the the 2080 will be work its price (maybe?) but without that feature, there is the 1080ti, selling for 250-300 less and has essentially the same performance. That's a tough sell, at least for early adopters.

Yeah I definitely would like to see games adopt it more, but thats a big IF.

It is not on par with the 1080Ti. The 2080 is far ahead. The problem, though, is the ways its ahead won't start appearing until later this year, and you don't know what the adoption rate of those features is at the moment.

If you were looking for a 4K card and would pay the price of the 2080 if it provided that, I would not get the 1080Ti now. The 2080 very well may be what you're looking for, but you should wait it a bit to see how adoption in the wild goes first. It would be a shame in that scenario to get a 1080Ti now, only to find out that indeed the 2080 is what you wanted if you just waited a bit longer.

Thats exactly the problem, if the adoption rate is low support will be lost and I'll have wasted a couple hundred bucks.

Not planning on upgrading to 4k for some time. 2k 144hz on high is my bar for now.

I'm currently in the middle of season 3 of My Hero Academia. It's a surprisingly fantastic anime show.

I watched a few episodes of that while I was stuck in a hotel for a month. I quite liked it, its definitely on my radar to watch. Do you happen to know if anyone streams it?

Got highly recommended to watch this show by a friend. Also on my watch list, whenever I get time to binge watch it I will.

I disagree. When you’re in a fire fight you hardly have any time to heal as it is. If you take that away you’ll never be able to have any chance of surviving a chance encounter.

To each their own. I personally don't ever see that happening in the fights I get in. Its super easy to abuse your environment and very easy to get back to full health almost instantly.

I can understand if this is you landing in a hot zone or getting pinched, but in every other situation there is just a bunch of options for you to heal.

I know what to expect from Android phones, same goes for Apple. I tried to go higher but gave up after getting shot down again and again. Was such a small issue but they weren't having it.

There is always the online chat and calls for genius appointments. I’ve tried the call before and had my situation resolved that was earlier refused in store.

All in all it usually comes down to the employee unfortunately. I’ve had some friends have horror stories, other times I’ve had phones swapped with almost no questions asked.

  5. I’m not saying cracking is an option.... but it’s an option. I also am not a very good editor so I’m not sure my 2c are worth much

The only thing I’ve found comfortable to edit on besides premiere is FCP and since I haven’t owned a Mac in years I’ll probably never touch it again.

I’ve heard resolve is pretty good, might wanna give that a shot. Also have seen lightworks get thrown around a few times, but have tried neither.

They already released MCC twice and it's still has plenty of bugs and needs tweaking. I doubt 343 has the resources to keep up with updating the console version and start working on porting Halo 2 CE, Halo 3 and Halo 4 to PC while still working on Halo Infinite. As is MCC has taken way too much of 343's time and I'm surprised they gave it this much attention and reworked the whole package with out charging anything. I would love this to be on PC with cross play (SP obviously MP is a different hurdle) but I would have thought it would have been done with MCC Re-release or some sort of announcement that it was coming up on the horizon.

They have a dedicated team working on MCC that is separate from Infinite.

However it took them what almost a year to push out this update that makes one of the 4 games work better? I don't see PC in the pipeline anytime soon either. They've teased other cool things like a custom game browser (similar to Halo 5) which would be nice since MM probably has a low population.

How many more 74GB patches until it is not a steaming pile of garbage?

If you like Halo 3 multiplayer works the best its ever worked. If you like Halo 2/CE it'll probably never be fixed (though the said in the next update they are focusing on CE).

Campaign works great and you don't have to install every game (which drives the 74GB down). The UI is at the very least snappy and not riddled with bugs anymore.

If I'm not mistaken, isn't this MCC release on Game Pass like a soft re-launch for the title? The last I heard of it, they were basically gutting the entire thing and re-building it using a single unifying emulator, since the vast majority of the problems the game had were a result of each of the games running on its own engine and being tied together by a "game" that was basically just a launcher, and that's why everything was shit and game progress was getting lost and nothing in the MCC really fit together.

Or I could just be imaging the whole thing and we're all just human batteries in the matrix.

You are correct. The big patch came out two days ago I think. It had a UI overhaul and a lot of enhancements, but the game is still far from perfect. The insider (testing for the patch) mostly focused on Halo 3, the changes made to Halo 2 and CE didn't really fix anything and even brought up more issues. They are supposedly bringing another patch out in the near future focusing on CE.

Though this is all online gameplay, if campaign is your thing you should be good to go.

So it was OK to sell for $60 a couple of years ago, but not good enough to give a way for free in their subscription service?

I never said it was okay to sell that game for $60 bucks in the first place.

It never should have been released in the state it was, 343i claimed they didn't see the massive amount of problems that it shipped with in their internal testing. MCC is the reason they announced that every future halo title would have a public beta before hand.
