That's cool! Best of luck man, hope it keeps going well. My wife and I are considering moving down to So cal in a few years. I may bug you later on... *nudge nudge* lol

I finally got a job in IT! I just got hired for an L1 service support position. Just had my first week there and I have been enjoying it. Much a refreshing environment than what I am used to. Everyone is super friendly. Even when I went to my interviews I noticed people just making conversations in the elevator even when on different floors and departments. I'm really glad that I chose to make the career change sooner than always holding it off because I didn't feel ready to go back to school. I definitely recommend anyone that wants to find a better place to work to make that effort.

Right on man! Where at if you don't mind saying? I just got hired for a Jr Network Engineer role with an MSP, I start in a few weeks. Same salary as my current gig! It's going to be my first role as strictly just networking, so I'm excited for that.

I've been tasked with reading an 800 page "cram" book to get my A+ cert. If I do this within a week (kind of joking, kind of not) I can get into the IT department at my work.

Fuck. That's two exams and a HUGE amount of information. I took the previous version 5 years ago and it took me about 3 months to knock out... it was such a drag. It's good to get your foot in the door but it becomes useless almost immediately after your first job. Worthwhile for you in this circumstance, so good luck!! Professor Messer has good A+ videos in case you want to listen instead of watch reading. I also believe Udemy has an A+ course that goes over Mike Meyers study guide.

    -edit-

    typo,  ha

  3. I am currently out of shape and paying for a gym membership and not even using it. I'm at a point now that I want to be healthy, work out, look good but I just can't seem to find the motivation at all, or I don't have time because I'd rather be watching a korean drama or finding something else to study. SO then I just accept myself for who/what/how I am, but I see an old pic of me as well or see other people in great shape then I hate myself.

I'm struggling too and really should do something about it because I have not been in the best health overall either these last few months. I actually had a major anxiety attack last night. I'm sure working out would help. Maybe a support group would help us lol

I don’t so expect a lot of similar comments irl :p

I apologize. This is my most meaningful tattoo, so I got defensive. My wife adores the hamsa hand, I've always wanted a compass tattoo, and we were just in Athens and Santorini, my and her dream vacations respectively. The compass in this instance is me finding her and uniting. Being able to get it done in Greece is just icing on the cake.

  5. I honestly can't tell anymore which of you are joking and which are being serious.

Btw, when you sit and lean forward, your ass is nice and spread for you to dig in and clean properly, especially if you finish off with baby wipes. No flushing those though.

Have you taken it yet. I schedule my exam for December 1st so I'm gonna start re-reading the book and doing practice exams up to the test date.

Actually took it earlier today in the afternoon. I passed! Was really tough, though, you have to be really careful interpreting cisco's questions as they can be tricky. Hardest part was just remembering all of the info being thrown at you when you're studying, as its just SO much.

  7. Wife and I decided to not go crazy, or at least too crazy on a car. So we traded in her aging Scion and got this puppy. Compromised by going with 4dr version instead of the 2dr. I am so enamored with the Mini Cooper, so ended up with a 2016 Mini Cooper S w/ JCW tuning kit. Plenty of power and plenty of exhaust for me. LOVE this thing so much. <3

I just passed my ICND 2! Man was i shitting bricks during my exam but I'm so relieved because I might have a job opportunity coming up soon and really helps if I have my CCNA so I can leverage more money. I still have to do the Security cert but this was the thing holding me back from actually changing careers.

Congrats! It really is a huge relief when you see "PASS" on the screen. Best of luck when you pursue CCNA:S, that shit is still kicking my ass right now.

  9. My wife and I were literally just there in Santorini all last week. We didn't ride the donkeys as we were not lazy fucks. We instead chose to nearly die going up those steps in the article. I actually did not see many overweight people in Santorini, and didn't see that many people on donkeys period. Interesting to note, we hardly saw many overweight Greek people while we were in Athens and Santorini. Everyone was mostly thin. The exception were the tourists in Athens.

  10. That Mustang looks sexy AF!

We're looking at getting a used AMG GLA 45 or a new Mini Cooper Countryman JCW in a few years. My wife is leaning towards the AMG, I'm leaning toward the Mini Coop although I'm hot for both of them. I've also considered the S4 but we'll see, we're still a few years away!
