He’s right though. Cheers was the last comedy ever.

I’m finally reading Mistborn. I’ve had this thing on my Kindle for forever, but apparently when I bought I only read the first couple pages (I don’t remember that, but Amazon never forgets). The dumb thing that finally got me to read it was I saw a copy displayed at my local bookstore with one of those little employee recommendation cards under it that just said “Ocean’s 11 but robbing Sauron” and I had never been so quickly sold on a book (that I already owned ).

The Pokémon games are definitely RPGs, so shoutout to the big homie Snorlax. Dude just wants to sleep and eat, most relatable character.

My sister and I play The Game when nobody else is ready for game night yet. Simple, fast, takes up almost no shelf space and takes no time to set up.

It’s a cliche at this point to say it, but Death Stranding is the perfect podcast game. 90% of the time, a pleasant amount of fuck all happens, then you need to engage for only a small portion. That is part of what helped the game click for me this time. In between the batshit crazy story/lore dumps, I can just have a podcast playing in one ear as I trudge across the wasteland (pausing for occasional Low Roar song)

Just a reminder that this thread is always available if ya

I’m about 22 hours into Death Stranding. I was both thrilled and intimidated when I looked up the average completion time and saw that I was only about halfway through. I may have to take a break and find something quick to play through.

Love getting a throwback JRPG on Game Pass. I can download it, play for a few hours before getting bored, then delete it guilt-free, having only spent time on it, not money.

Sounds like this thread is more entertaining than the game itself.

What are you up to there?
Just a little vacation. I went full tourist mode. Got a 3 day pass and hit a bunch of museums, Statute of Liberty, Empire State Building, saw a Yankees game, all that shit.

Coffee and a breakfast sandwich. Usually a bagel with bacon egg and cheese.

I’ve been staying in a hostel in Brooklyn this week, and this has been my view every morning. It’s been comforting, even though I’m alone, it’s like I can feel @Biggie in the room with me, saying “shut the fuck up, nerd”

He's screened The Whole Bloody Affair at his Beverley Cinema theater a couple times if that counts.
If he wants to fly me out to LA the next time he screens it, then yes, I would consider that “readily available“.

I would love for the One True Kill Bill to be readily available to see by legit means. That’s when I’ll consider it a proper film.

This fuckin’ thread…
And somehow I’m the virgin.

Uh-huh. Sure. Best of luck, guys!
Has anyone who says that the want to adapt Blood Meridian actually read the book?!?!
Because anyone who has read the book knows that there's absolutely no way in hell that it's adaptable.
But it’s a book I’ve heard of, so therefore it’s a valuable brand that can can be exploited.

Let me give an analogy. It would have looked dumb as shit if in the LOTR movies Arwen was running around in a bikini. Fantastical settings doesn't mean unserious in this way.
It only would’ve looked dumb if she was the only one. But what if Middle Earth was a place where everyone wears bikinis? Then she would look normal!

Got caught up this morning, then downloaded Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge to keep the buzz going.

Why are you guys talking about Michael Jordan? I was referencing my favorite Jim Carey movie.

Killer premise, can’t wait.
My only disappointment is that it’s not a Mid Size Sedan concert.

He wasn’t above working in TV when he directed episodes of ER and CSI, although maybe he saw those more like gimmicks (what’s “stunt casting” for TV directors?) and not really working in TV. But it would be an easy workaround if he really wants to stop at 10 movies but keep working.

Sick. Can’t wait to play FFTA over the course of two years worth of lunch breaks.

There were those seasons of Archer where they got tired of spy stuff, so they did full season arcs that were the same characters in completely different settings.

Somehow I misread the headline and completely missed that they were talking about the video game Dark Souls. Then I saw it was from Kotaku.
But yeah, that tracks. No notes. Can’t wait until she puts out her Elden Ring.
