How did people ever survive for hundreds of thousands of years before air conditioning was invented.
They mostly didn't live in deserts, in concrete cities that make it even hotter numbering in the hundreds of thousands.

Are fighter jets really that useful though? It seems like AA even for shitty Russia is too good for anything not low observable.
Well being able to fully utilize AGM-88s would make Russian AA think twice about turning on, plus all the other weapons they could use to make offensive pushes that much stronger.

I mean the people that they need likely already found positions i'd imagine, so it'd be funny if they had to offer significant increases in pay to get them back, lol.

It probably doesn't hurt that Ukraine has access to the worlds largest intelligence gathering operation allowing them to make those focused hits on weaker areas.

Yeah, I'm not sure how much more difficult they are to shoot down other than the reduced time to react/track. I don't know if it was someone here or elsewhere that put it well, which is something like:
Russia boasts and boasts about the futuristic prowess of their weapons, but the weapons turn out to be duds. The US, on the other hand, builds their weapons to counter the full hypothetical potential of these Russian weapons, and actually succeeds.
Yeah, F-15 comes to mind, was built to counter the MiG-25 which was supposed to be some Russian super fighter than we couldn't touch, then when a pilot defected with one we found out the F-15 absolutely outclasses it in just about every way but absolute top speed because the US severely overestimated its abilities and built the F-15 to those specs.

I don't get how hypersonics are supposed to be any harder to knock down, other than time to target shooting them down on the other end doesn't mean you need a faster missile just an accurate one that has a good idea of where its going. Their extreme speed also makes slight maneuvers to avoid intercepts difficult as the extra stress and heat could cause it to destroy itself though i'm sure someone will figure it out eventually.

Unless you care about RT going with AMD is the better option, pretty much across the board and at a cheaper price, hell AMD's last gen cards are still viable due to VRAM usage going through the roof so they're now outperforming 30 series on newer games even with RT enabled because of VRAM.

Democrats seem far too trusting.
Not really most of whats there is legit news, the problems arise when you start factoring in editorial content, thats where shit gets nuts for all of it.

It was RT all along! With RT turned off on Jedha, I am rocking a very stable frame rate without CTDs every 20 mins. Game continues to be a great DS-Vania adventure!
My understanding is the last patch didn't do squat if you had RT on, but nearly doubled FPS with it off, so sounds right.

People don't seem to really understand how fast energy is moving, theres 4 solar farms in my area that didn't exist 5 years ago, with at least 1 more going up in my immediate area, and this is happening all across the country.

Imagine how different history would be if the US has turned against SA after 9/11. Invasion?
Basically if the US didn't have a fucked up electoral system and Gore won.

Just saw that Russia dropped a bomb on Belgorod, most likely reason is that the glide kit failed and it just fell straight down, but why in the hell would you release over a city, let alone your own city, lol.

There’s a video one or two pages backYeah i saw that, but hes not using low settings to get sub 60, thats settings completely maxed including RT, everything on low he was still only getting in the 90s which is where its really stupid.

So wait, all the complaints I've seen have been that the game can't even run at 60 at the lowest settings and resolution but now they're hitting 70-80 FPS for the most demanding area and 120 for the second, with max settings? I feel like I've missed part of the conversation.
Well they definitely weren't using a 7800x3d if they couldn't run the game at 60 on low, but considering the absolute best CPU/GPU combos are having a rough go at it its pretty easy to see taking a step down or 2 could be brutal, especially NVIDIA users with lower VRAM amounts.

Can we get some samples from AMD and Intel CPUs here? Every "this is the worst performance I've ever seen in a video game" thread has seemingly come from AMD CPU owners. I'm on a 13900k and while, like I said, there's definitely the occasional stutter (like the first game) it's nowhere near, not even in the same UNIVERSE as the problems I'm seeing being reported.
I keep waiting for the performance ball to drop but I think it might just be CPU starved and if your CPU can meet its crazy demands performance is mostly fine, and by fine I mean I got like 70-80 in the first world and am getting 100-120 in the second.
Obviously it's still a massive shitshow because uhh, no one should need a fuckin' 13900k to run this, but whatever the issue is I think it might be fixable? Usually you know performance is well and truly fucked when absolutely no one can run a game well. If they can figure out what's causing the absolutely insane CPU thrashing and maybe get VRAM under control, which I have no idea how hard or time consuming either is, I think they can definitely get it playable on far more machines.
Doesn't seem to be AMD related at all, the numbers you're talking about are basically identical to the ones on the 7800x3d people are seeing, which is considered to be the best gaming CPU out there. I've even seen 7900xtx numbers edging out the 4090 in this game which is just stupid.

Education is a major factor as well, something like 40% or higher of millennials have college degrees, Gen X is only slightly more educated than Boomer/Silent at around 25-30%

Imagine being against an abortion for a fetus that is non viable but could take 8 weeks to miscarriage because its not an emergency, but could become one in that time because you couldn't abort it when it was much safer to do so, lol.

The American south wouldn't look anything like it does now without A/C regardless of water resources, the people that live there are not used to these temps for long periods of time, which are dangerous to the young and elderly, of which i'm sure are the majority of the numbers cited for a city of millions.
