I'm really starting to second guess the need for this thing. I'm After 2nd Q2022 but still it's giving me to much time to think about it. 649.99 won't kill us, and the thought of selling it has now actually crossed my mind but I'd be a hypocrite so I'm really getting second thoughts. With the short supply on everything these days I'm keeping the pre-order but I do not think I'll use this very much. I don't know what to do, but seeing them seeing them for double easily is so very tempting. I could sell it and save the money toward a 40series GPU next year. 1500 would cover the cost of at least a 4080Ti at retail anyway right? WOW, options suck. I do love Fancy "NEW TECH" though, I'm really waffling every day on this thought. Mine is probably set for December 2022 anyways...lol

If you don't want to be a complete hypocrite, you can sell it to someone here for a price that falls in between Valve's price and Ebay prices. I'm sure someone here would be willing.

  2. Sounds like they were surprised at the reaction? It's like they expect their customers to be satisfied with being sold shit.

Releasing wildly broken shit and fixing it later is becoming the norm, and it's here to stay as long as these broken games get purchased by the masses. I remember reading that this game underperformed, but this tactic works well way too often. Look at the GTA trilogy. That pile of shit sold like 10 million copies.

Plus GTA V has now sold-in over 160 million copies, publisher Take-Two reveals…

Any word on this? I'm still waiting on my copy of the game. Did anyone get theirs?

I can only assume there was a delay since the world is what it is now. But do we have a new release date coming soon(ish)?

In the post you quoted, there is a link to the pre-order page that says March 25th, 2022 is the release date.  :p

Shouldn't Yacht Club be beyond crowd-funding by now? Especially for a game like this?

They address this in the kickstarter info.

"Compared to our original Kickstarter, we’re not in dire straits! We’re financing a majority of Mina the Hollower's development internally. Our main reason for launching a Kickstarter this time is to build a brand new universe in the same way we did with our first game, Shovel Knight—with our community involved in creating something special along with us! Every backer that joins the development will help to make a more robust game. Together, we’ll break new ground!"

Soo.... they're doing a kickstarter so that the community can get involved with the development...

    Spoiler

They also definitely know they can get tons of money this way so why not?

If people are willing to pay for it in advance, then they'd be a silly not to accept more money.

The game looks sick, it might be the first Kickstarter that I back (unless I forget like with all the others I intended on backing, LOL)
