One of the problems with picking Lee is that if he is approved by the Senate, it reduces the GOP majority to essentially nothing, at least temporarily. Yes, Utah is a solid red state, and there is essentially no chance of his vacant seat going blue, but it might put the GOP in a bind until a new Senator can be sworn in.

Would the governor be able to immediately pick someone new or would there have to be a special election?

A Trump administration appointee to the State Department tore into standard UN documents that condemn racism as a threat to democracy.
The deputy assistant secretary for refugees and migration, a foreign service officer promoted by the White House to an unusually senior position for his rank, disputed the idea that leaders have a "duty" to condemn hate speech and incitement, and repeatedly rejected use of the words nationalism, populism, and xenophobia."The drafters say 'populism and nationalism' as if these are dirty words," wrote Andrew Veprek, the deputy assistant secretary for refugees and migration, in documents obtained exclusively by CNN. "There are millions of Americans who likely would describe themselves as adhering to these concepts. (Maybe even the President.). So are we looking to here condemn our fellow-citizens, those who pay our salaries?"https://www.cnn.com/2018/06/29/politics/veprek-state-dept-un-racism/index.html

I do believe we should not have a large contingent of us troops in Europe. They can send for themselves.
This isn't the way to actually go about drawing down, though.

The Pentagon is analyzing the cost and impact of a large-scale withdrawal or transfer of American troops stationed in Germany, amid growing tensions between President Trump and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, according to people familiar with the work.
The effort follows Trump’s expression of interest in removing the troops, made during a meeting earlier this year with White House and military aides, U.S. officials said. Trump was said to have been taken aback by the size of the U.S. presence, which includes about 35,000 active-duty troops, and complained that other countries were not contributing fairly to joint security or paying enough to NATO.
Word of the assessment has alarmed European officials, who are scrambling to determine whether Trump actually intends to reposition U.S. forces or whether it is merely a negotiating tactic ahead of a NATO summit in Brussels, where Trump is again likely to criticize U.S. allies for what he deems insufficient defense spending.

U.S. President Donald Trump said he expects a second tax overhaul to be unveiled in October or a bit earlier, and he is considering cutting the corporate tax rate to 20 percent from 21 percent.

Seriously, @CastlevaniaNut18, is there anything other than A1c, blood sugar, and lipids that you'd order for a standard physical?

Didn't take long to sell out.
It went up at 10 Pacific so it was available for more like 2.5 hours than 0.5.

That makes sense. I never owned a NES, had a Sega Master System, so I wouldn't notice stuff like that, and I have no nostalgia for the hardware.
If getting authentic controllers doesn't have any to you then you're probably best off just making an emulator box and buying some third-party controllers.

I really don't understand the hype about these mini systems. I would sooner just have the games on my Switch.
Does that mean that I am a bad person?
I find Mario 3 hard to play on 3DS etc because it seems like they've flipped what A and B do. Way too much muscle memory built up for it to feel right.
I also just overall find value in getting the authentic controllers.

My Target got 80 systems. By the time I left at 12:30, we had sold 5. They might not be ridiculously hard to find this time around. But yeah, we only received a few extra controllers, both wired and wireless.
Are the wireless ones by Nintendo or a third party?

NES Classic: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Nintendo-Entertainment-System-NES-Classic-Edition/54043501
Weirdly the extra controllers seem to be selling out faster than the actual NES Classics.

Civil rights huh? Good way to make sure the GOP opposes it.

Also Alaska and Hawaii. Hawaii in particular, IIRC. Products coming from Asia have to sail all the way to the mainland and then back west instead of just making a port stop along the way.
