But in any case getting a new friend is always a good thing to help. None of them can be replaced but let's be real here nobody picks you up like a dog.

Thanks you guys. I’m bursting into an ugly cry less and less as the day goes on.
but oh man no one prepares you for the roller coaster that comes with people (read: children) who don’t have the skills to cope with loss. The younger one is in blissful ignorance as she lacks even object permanence. The oldest, 6, is everywhere. From one minute “I’m glad Diesel is dead” to “it feels like we don’t have a family anymore, Diesel is gone” and the occasional “I miss him, why did he have to die?” And “I crossed my fingers so that Diesel would live forever” you simply are not and can not be prepared to manage that. Then hearing all that and still having to care for them, feed them, teach and parent them, and everything else is tough. I’m very glad my oldest is in therapy already cause man she’s got some stuff to figure out and I don’t know if my wife and I are the ones who are best equipped to do it
Yeah the timing of all that is definitely something I'm thinking about when it comes to getting another friend. We don't want her to be too young even as cute as it is to see a puppy with a baby.

In another case of social media sucks.
There’s A Racial Bias on Police Facebook Pages | FiveThirtyEight
FIVETHIRTYEIGHT.COMThere was nothing overtly biased about the way the Wilkes-Barre Township Police Department described a mugging on its Facebook page in February 2019. The first …Americans over-estimate how much crime is committed by black Americans. In what, I'm sure, is unrelated news; police disproportionally report on crimes committed by black Americans.
They found that police Facebook pages consistently overreport crimes by Black suspects relative to local arrests rates: Between 2010 and 2019, Black suspects were described in 32 percent of posts but represented just 20 percent of arrestees. It mirrors statistics that show white Americans overestimate the percentage of crimes committed by Black Americans by as much 20 to 30 percent compared to the actual figures (numbers that, themselves, already reflect a bias in who gets arrested versus who actually commits crimes).
That's just how they've always worked.

Do non-parents even have the tiniest clue how much help regular free diaper deliveries would provide parents of every income level?

why don't any of these governments just make it easy to raise children

From the sound of a previous manager interview in my department, most questions will be related to management style, familiarity with ITIL/ITSM for service desk flow, and maybe a bit about professional development. Need to do some refreshers on ITIL over the weekend. I'm not too choked if I don't get this job, but the ~25% raise would certainly be nice.
tell them their service catalog is fucked and needs a complete overhaul and every process needs to be reviewed holistically

All I can think of is that whoever replaces him will be more evil and worse in every way. But dumber at least.
I don't see anyone else in that gaggle of dunces able to control the whole caucus like McConnell. Could Rick Scott or John Thune keep the likes of Murkowski in line? I doubt it.

2fa is old news for corporate America anyway. Zero trust is the future.

I'm on the side of tiktok being great.
Thing is that you have to know it's constantly trying to figure out what you like. If you hate watch tiktoks you're gonna have a bad time.

Any general tips for a job interview on Monday for a first-time management position? For the service desk manager job at my school division IT dept.
Treat it as an airing of grievances. They'll be impressed by your ability to take charge.

I’ve been trying to get my wife into Supernatural for years, but Season 1 never grabs her and me desperately saying ‘The story gets really cool from season 2,’ amazingly isn’t selling it as well as I want to to.
Just start from Mystery Box, she'll be fine.

Yes brutalism is awesome when you hide most of it behind trees.
Well, yeah it is. It's like a concrete starship in the jungle. Contrast is attractive. Art 101.

I don’t care if it’s true or not, Elon being such a shitty manager that he essentially crashed technology is a take I’m willing to embrace

I’d say that my AG is too stupid to do this, but kobach is quoted in the article so my premise may be faulty
He's dumb but unfortunately he's not LePage dumb.

The problem isn't that it wasn't brutalist, the problem is that it was getting shat out in the middle of an area that is. The contrast was bad. Courthouse, Ballston, and Rosslyn are just 2/3/4 metro stops away and more stylistically compatible.

It's not rhetorical to say the story ended. Stories have patterns that are knowable and observable. The first five seasons of the show clearly fit the pattern of a full and complete story with a final ending. It only helps the point that the continuation of the show put those facts in to sharp relief. Especially since I didn't hate post season five and I already said that. It was just weak for reasons that are easy to spot and eventually I got tired of it.
