They lost WiFi, no footage or witnesses would get out
Really surprised by the season... didn't think it could feel like anything but a cheap spin-off to the boys, but it really did well, fit right in to the universe, expanded on it, and had its own interesting take. Looking forward to a season 2.

True... he could have also built his experiment in a dimension where no one was around to mess it up. In retrospect, he could have been smarter. Part of it is he's just cocky/full of himself and his backup plan was more Twins. He had no love for most dimension Invincibles, but instead of taking the blame himself, he's going to blame our Dimension's Invincible.
Ultimately, it's just the setup for how did a bad guy go bad, by a botched experiment. Though he meant well before, because he's all messed up now, he's gonna do some very evil things...

Could not make the wait for season 2 so ended up reading the whole series this summer. It's soo good, and can't wait to see stuff in the TV show.
As much as I love the comics, the show I think actually does a better job. Subtle changes here and there, but seems like so far they've simply been able to add more depth and flesh out some of the side characters more.
Angstrom Levy is a coll storyline. As we saw in episode one, he's essentially broken and gone insane due to the botched experiment.... it's more than miscommunication, that's just the tragedy of it all, that if they Mark would have done due diligence, it might never had happened.

Happy to see this is more violent and looks closer to the level of Netflix Daredevil. Wasn't hoping for much before, but the trailer surprised me that it doesn't appear to be watering down the maturity.
If Disney wants to have a million movies and shows, they need to have the genres and styles broken up a bit to give different looks at the universe. Make their street level heroes more of a John Wick-style could be something to keep it unique and fresh from the rest of the MCU.

Watched the first three episodes. The planet is definitely interesting. Curious where the show goes on d the various characters hook up.
Favorite so far is the robot Levi.

https://sports.yahoo.com/california-national-expansion-noncompete-ban-120000051.html
QuoteGovernor Gavin Newsom recently signed Senate Bill 699 and Assembly Bill 1076 into law. Both laws concern how employers contractually block workers from joining a competitor business, sometimes for many months after employment ends, and both will go into effect on Jan. 1, 2024
SB 699 makes it illegal for an employer or former employer in California to enforce a noncompete clause even if the contract was signed in another state and if the employee works outside of California. California has long made it illegal to restrain employees and independent contractors in California from engaging in a lawful profession, but SB 699 effectively extends that prohibition across the country. SB 699 also supplies enforcement rights to employees who believe they have been wronged to demand monetary damages and other remedies.
AB 1076 obligates employers to notify current employees and former employees who were employed after Jan. 1, 2022, that any noncompetes in a contract void unless an exemption applies. The exemptions are narrowly defined and concern dissolution of corporations, partnerships and limited liability corporations.
For California companies with employees who work remotely in other states, these changes will render noncompetes not only unenforceable but also grounds for liability.....

Was kind of not feeling the trailer, but wanted to like it. Above convinced me to check it out this week. I hope I dig it.

Just me, or pretty sure Shetty isn't 'just human' and had some sort of powers she's hiding.

Likely bad for profit, but I think restricting the resource market for talent is also bad for growth and profit. A more fluid and competitive market can be good for all in the long term. For shitty companies that nickel and dime everywhere, they will have issues, but good.

Watched the first two episodes. It was okay. Not nearly as bad as some of these reviews.
To me, I felt like it was an okay start with some rough edges. Definitely had potential to find it's way after some time, but good chance it just stays in # low gear.

I like how they say the truth right out there. It's not about keeping company information protected, it's a stick to keep employees retained rather than give them a carrot like good pay, good benefits, or just treating them well.
Honestly the practice is a lot of keeping up with your competitors. You can't be the only company in your sector to not do it. However, I think non-competes are cheap ways to keep your staff for the bad companies. For good companies, their pool of potential candidates for open roles can balloon. Hopefully the FTC frames it up as anti- competitive and anti-capitalism, because it is.
Long term, it's good for companies, industry, and employees. Only one it's bad for is shady companies.

Am I remembering correctly? Speaker of the House doesn't actually need to be a current member of congress, it just always has been?

Since I have Paramount at the moment I’m finally checking out Lower Decks, and it is quite good!
Try Strange New Worlds after.

I'm down. I quite enjoy the Harley Quinn show, and Kite Man was pretty funny and had a little heart to his character too.

It was a weird ending, which is a weird comment, because it did really wrap up the story/mission it was telling. I definitely want to see more. Solid 8 episodes. Would love to see them flesh out the other side characters a big more and build out the world.
Not must see TV, but I don't think anyone who checks it out will be disappointed either. Just well made, and had me excited to watch next episode.

Kevin Smith's Fatman Beyond podcast reposted the hour long interview he did with her years ago. Pretty good listen.

Don't think they planned it before, but still, you'd think they'd learn their lesson lol

Surprised they had Ezra hologram reference Sabine as a sister. They always had hints of a romance, even in these first two episodes. If they do go down the romance angle, super weird, especially for star wars, to reference brother/sister bonding.... makes me think there's no way they're going down that angle now.

I started watching it last night, ended up staying up too late and went through all 6 episodes (so far online). I thought it was really solid. Definitely worth checking out. If you're not into it after I'd say 1 maybe 2 episodes, probably not for ya. Writing, Characters, Acting is all solid. Just an enjoyable watch.

For sure that's the joke. Totally fine with them replacing Roiland, it's for the best. Just admittedly a bit difficult to get used to it since they went soo different.

I'm all for a plan that is thought out further than one movie. I think this will be a good thing overall.
