Yeah to be fair Meta puts a lot into their AI/ML research even if much of it doesn't get converted into a product. The thing with meta is most/many researchers go there for 2-4 years then leave for something else. So really if you want to get meta talent just play the long game and always leave an offer on the table, they'll quit and join you eventually.

It was always interesting watching the TVs in the food halls showing off work anniversaries and once it got to the 5 year mark the numbers dwindled to just a tiny handful.

Wow umm. It seems another 3ds retail release came out and I'm just now finding out about it. SHAKEDOWN: HAWAII got a physical release in both a regular and collectors edition. You can still find stock at VG Plus if you want one. There is also rumours of a still remaining release from LRG that hasn't been announced which will most likely be the actual last 3ds physical release.

Finally finished Rain Code last night. There are parts I like about this game but the story I don't feel is as strong or engaging as Danganrompa. With that said I hope they do make a follow up. Also chapter 5 really makes me wish the team did a pure horror game in this style because that made me really want to play a horror game right now (Maybe after UO). 

I've also swapped over to Unicorn Overlord, it was such a simple process to bring my save over and continue on. It might just be me but I feel the gfx are even better in the retail version than the demo. Some textures just look a bit less blurry but I might be over analysing.

I forgot to mention I will go back to Rain Code for a bit in a few weeks. There is some side stories DLC where you play as other characters in the game. I want to play through those before I fully put the game away.

Not shocking, techbros are trying to run Generative AI into the ground. There is still some great stuff coming out of this that will be helpful to people but I think my bigger pet peeve is everybody lumping all AI in with GenAI. I don't think people understand how much AI is used in our daily lives and I fear some of this backlash will bleed into the same type of mindset we see with anti vaxers. =/

So I'll probably have that done tonight/tomorrow so I can move on.

Tell me about it, I’ve got a 2016 bmw x1 with only 19,000km (~11806 miles) on it.  I’d be even less if not for 1 long road trip years ago.

Boo so close, it made it to the delivery center but now hit with a delivery delay. Hopefully they deliver tomorrow and not do what they did to me a few weeks back (say they’re going to try again but ultimately sent it back to amazon).

Sooo… I was looking at amazon (Canada) and I noticed something was saying it was available to be delivered tomorrow. So I ordered to see what happens and it’s currently in preparing to ship. Someone goofed :P

I should note it did have a release date of the 8th earlier today.

Still on rain code but picking up the pace. I’ve beaten chapter 3 last night and I’m now able to be through a chapter every 3-4 days (they’re not overly long, just I only get 1-2.5 hours a night to play). The game only has 6 chapters so I’m hoping to be done in 2 weeeks so I can move on to possibly unicorn overlord next.

If you've been on the fence about this game and don't own it yet. It seems physical copies have been on sale recently. These deals just finally came to canada so I ordered a copy this morning ($50 Canadian is better than $90 it was going for).
