  1. Back when RDR first came out, I only got to the first unlockables area of the map (was it Mexico?) and my 360 gave up the ghost. I ended up the selling the disc during my transition to Xbox One when it released & I never got around to playing it again.

Fast forward all these years, and it's now going to be available on my Switch, which means I can play this thing while I'm at work, and get paid while doing so :p Sign me up!

(when it hits a sale, that is)

Conker Live and Reloaded (prefer this to the n64 one in Rare Replay)

    Crimson Skies

I guess Outrun 2 didn’t make the cut actually but Panzer Dragoon Orta is a must.

I second Conker: L&R. Even today, it's still a beautiful game!

It’s full open world but not overwhelmingly large like something like Skyrim, and it’s kind of funneled how you travel to different areas instead of just being able to go in any direction that you want right from the outset. And you can’t go to some areas until you progress in the story. Basically, it’s a little more condensed, directed and focused than something like a vast open world RPG.

That sounds pretty awesome 🤔 Thank you for the heads up!

No, not really. It’s pretty much a reboot with only some occasional small references to the previous games.

Days Gone is one of my favorite last gen games, it’s extremely underrated IMO.

How open is the world in Days Gone? Like, full open world or is it open zones?

Death Stranding was extremely beautiful and unique but boy it isn't for everyone. It truly starts out as a walking sim but you eventually get alternative ways to travel. It's extremely fucked up lol but I absolutely loved it!

Days Gone is a hidden gem but it starts out slow. Overall it's pretty damn cool especially dealing with the hordes.

I'm thinking Death Stranding is probably next up...I could use a game that starts out chill after FF7, and before tackling something zany like zombie hordes or whatever.

  7. Got a PS5 for Fathers Day, and I've been playing FF7 Remake with the PS5 upgrade in the free time I've had.

    What a gorgeous game.

I think I'm nearing the end though, so I'm looking for my next game out of a list of "free" stuff with my PS+ membership & suggestions are welcome! So far, we have:

    Death Stranding: Directors Cut

    Days Gone

    God of War: Ragnarok

Ragnarok came with the PS5, I was leaning towards it but I've never played any of the others in the series. Days Gone looks bonkers with the amount of enemies on screen, and Death Stranding just looks weird & odd & pretty & I'm really curious how much walking you do in this walking simulator.

I also want to play Spider-Man & FF16, but I don't want to pay for them right now 😝 so there's that.

  8. I just signed up for PS+ Extra a few days ago. I don't play online, but I signed up for the game catalog. I've been an Xbox guy since the launch of the 360, but having a PS5 gives me access to tons of exclusives that I bought the system for. Most of them are PS4 games w/PS5 upgrades, but still.

FF7 Remake, Days Gone, Ghosts of Tsushima, Detroit: Become Human, all that kinda shit. Most of the games I want to play are older I guess, but they're new to me. I signed up for a year, so I figure that's a ton of games I've wanted to play forever for only $100. Not too shabby.

You can access the game catalog list without a subscription if you're curious what's in it. You can see it through the console itself or online/through the PS app.

  10. Yo all of you fathers of D1P - I just wanted to wish all of you beautiful bastards a wonderful Fathers Day weekend!

I, myself, never spread my seed (that I'm aware of...) and I got the 'ol Michael Scott snip in 2021 (no snap to go with that snip, however). BUT!! Though I do not have fruits of my loins that look like me, thank Zod, I do have two absolutely AMAZING daughters who I refuse to put "step" in front of, and they are the reason to keep going.

Sex with their Mom is good too, I don't wanna forget that part :buttsex:

So if you have fathered little cretins of your own, or if you were man enough to step up and take on the challenge of being a Dad without contributing to their DNA, I press F to pay respect!

I'd like to turn this from a petty bickering thread to a thread of reconciliation. I feel like in the past I would have drawn the ire of people in a thread like this. Specifically @Brian and @stepee who thought I was a terrible user. Maybe they still think I'm a terrible user but at least they seem less irritated by my antics. 🫂

This is the internet. No place for reconciliation, here :shameonyou:

Really. I meant what I said. I may not like him or his beliefs, but he clearly has issues going on, despite what he’s saying. I truly hope he gets the help he needs.

I’ve experienced bi erasure in real life and it’s frustrating. Here, I just see it mostly as a sign of a desperately pathetic person lobbing whatever nonsense he can come up with.

My wife is bi, too. Most of the time, if people find out about it they assume she "can't make up her mind" or that she's a closet lesbian pretending. The erasure is definitely a real thing.

  13. Starfield, man...not much else to say about it. Looks outstanding. They put so many Easter eggs & little world building things in their games, I can't wait to see what kind of stuff there is to discover.

The ship upgrading might be my favorite "early" aspect of it. I wasn't expecting that we could add modules to our ships & completely change them up. I just assumed it'd be under the hood upgrades...pretty cool surprise.

If we can truly fly to a moon when we see one, this game will be a time killer for sure. And some jerkoff will still have the ending spoiled on YouTube opening weekend :p

Kid Rock... does he identify as a child or as a rock? Does he know rocks don't have parents so there isn't really any type of child rock.

Also he's a no talent hack with 2 first names.

I bet he watched Fraggle Rock as a kid, and rolled with that as a name

But then he couldn't spell Fraggle, so he couldn't use it.
