How do the GBA games look blown up on a tv?

03 April 2014 - 08:55 PM

I'm curious about some of the GBA games now available on the Wii U but was wondering how they'd look on a tv screen. Or would I pretty much stick with playing them on the Gamepad?

Advance Wars and Mario & Luigi are very tempting.

If you could buy only one of the following games, what would you pick?

I'm probably gonna buy one of those 3 soon. Here's a few things to keep in mind:

Professor Layton: I played all the DS ones but skipped the 3DS ones so far.

Phoenix Wright: I played the second game of the series on the DS.

Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward: I'm kinda leaning towards this, but I haven't played Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors.

Games that can be played with one hand

I'll be having surgery soon and won't be able to move much or use one of my arms while recovering. Any suggestions for games that can be played with one arm so I can keep myself entertained during the recovery period?

Anything that can be played on PS4, 3DS or Wii U is fair game.

Pokémon Battle Trozei

Who else downloaded this?

I realized I didn't have any match 3 puzzlers for the 3DS so I downloaded Pokémon Battle Trozei. You can catch every single Pokémon ever. :epilepsy:

I can see this being a fun game to play in short bursts so that it doesn't get repetitive. Based on my initial impressions I'm liking it so far, but shame that there's no 3D enabled and no online play what so ever.

Yoshi's New Island

I got this earlier in the day. I'm still on the very early stages but I'm already liking it better than the Yoshi's Island DS cause that game really turned me off. So far, Yoshi's New Island sticks very closely to the SNES game. It's the same deliberate pace of the original game and the levels are designed for you to search every nook and cranny. Basically right now, it's nothing that's mind blowing especially playing it as I'm going through Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze but it's still a competent 2D platformer.

Side note: I wish they included Yoshi Touch and Go as an unlockable or something.
