Fizzzzle Posted January 5, 2021 Share Posted January 5, 2021 How the hell have I slept on this gem? It's pure, stupid, unadulterated, testosterone-fueled, punchy-kicky fun time. It reminds me of the first Transporter movie. It stars Scott Adkins, who's basically the best fighting stunt man in the business. The director is a stunt coordinator himself. I don't know why Hollywood doesn't hire more stunt coordinators to direct action movies. It's refreshing to watch a fight scene that doesn't have a cut every .5 seconds. You can actually follow the narrative of the fight and remember who is doing what and where. In short, don't watch for the plot. It's a guy fighting to save his martial arts gym, and that's about all there is to it. The sequel just came out, they're both on Netflix, I think I'm going to watch them back-to-back. It's been punchy-kicky time all movie, and then at the end it's just some dudes shooting at each other. Still a good time overall, though.
