@CayceG Your states' primaries are on a Thursday, today, August 2. You must investigate why Thursdays since most elections are on Tuesdays.
We're counting on you.

Because if it were Tuesday, I'd have been unable to vote.

Why talk with the Taliban without Afghan officials present? The US is not going to let them back into power so what's the point?
I think you answered your question.

Support for Trump even in the face of current and imminent economic hardship should put the period at the end of this sentence: These people voted for Trump because they agreed with his racist policy proposals.

So I guess if you go to work for a Russian news organization you automatically inherit the lifespan of a Russian.

Again it's a start, but if their intention is just to get sympathy for them being "marginalized" then saying "I'm sorry" really doesn't have any merit.
I don't believe the intention is to get sympathy.
They're Christians at a pride parade asking for forgiveness. Not only is asking forgiveness the Christian thing to do, so is attending to the marginalized of society--especially if Christians are the ones doing the marginalizing. But like you said, there has to be a difference in what comes next. I don't believe these people are going to push for Obergefel to be overturned. I don't believe they're going to try to curtail civil rights. What they will do is an open question and up to them. What they are doing is step one.
And for Christians, even that is huge. CNut's article brings up that point too. Christians (including myself) need to go farther in tending to the marginalized. We need to be advocates of them and fight for them to be treated justly.

The GDP thing is kinda silly, while Germany is spending like half of what its supposed to, its still 4th in overall military spending, while a country like Greece is hitting its requirement but is spending a fraction of what Germany is spending, and is still below Germany's per capita spending. Its not crazy to ask Germany to spend more seeing they're one of the larger NATO nations, but its insane to threaten to abandon all of them if they don't.
Well...
That said, the German military is in pretty rough shape in terms of readiness.

That’s just Star Wars, dog. Rogue One exists solely to explain why there wasn’t a flaping exhaust port cover on the Death Star. It’s a 120 minute retcon to explain a shit military decision.
As an engineer, I can tell you, mistakes of that magnitude don't need to be explained. Sometimes, they just exist because a moron fucked up.
Pre-Rogue One, I bet some Imperial HVAC designer say "The exhaust port HAS to be 2 meters wide! At the airflows we're dealing with and the length the duct has to be, with all the blowers it'll take to vent the damn core, if we make it smaller the whole thing will overheat and explode!"
And the Project Manager was sick of dealing with HVAC's shit, so they never got together with the Defensive Design Consultant Engineer to make sure it wasn't a problem.
THAT'S why the port failed the Proton Torpedo crosscheck.
I love Rogue One because that explanation is better and more fun than what I just wrote--even though what I wrote is more realistic.

I didn't catch this previously.
This is the shit I fucking love. Despite the casino chase and the idiotic military decision making, THIS is one of the many reasons I will enjoy this movie so much.

Watched it again last night. The casino trip was less good the second time around than the first. Mainly I'm referring to the horse chase through town. I just straight up skipped that.
But I certainly enjoyed it. I picked up on a lot of the more subtle dialogue this time around.

IMO, Trump just tweeting shit out isn't worthy of news, let alone threads.

DID YOU KNOW that the Ukrainian trident looks like a diving falcon?
And that the word "Freedom" (VOLYA) is written in cyrillic in the trident?
EDIT: I learned that we're not auto-imaging links now I guess.

Nice. Thanks.

What is a gyro pocket? It's only open on one side, filled with savory ingredients.

EDIT: My post count is good (lol who cares) but I need by Ukrainian Trident... Later.
