that’s wild. i guess i can’t speak for other states but in california if we go into a lockdown teachers are absolutely not to open the door for anybody. we can do a quick scan at the very beginning to pull in any wandering students but admin or the student resource officer go to each class and open the door (once the lockdown is over) to tell you face to face that students can leave the class again.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that schools have policies like this but it's absolutely absurd that we have to. Because of the 2nd Amendment, we regularly traumatize children. All so that Patrick Henry cosplayers and people who value their hobby more than human lives can play with their weapons. It's disgusting, and our culture is sick for pretending that it's not.

  2. Italy. It hits the sweet spot of scenery, food, and museums. Hit up Florence, Rome, and the Amalfi Coast (probably the most beautiful place on earth). In Florence you can visit the Uffizi and Bargello which will take care of most Renaissance masterpieces. You can also see Masaccio's frescoes which are insane. Also you can plan a bunch of day trips throughout Tuscany while you're at it. Then in Rome just go see every Bernini sculpture you can. The Borghese has a bunch of Bernini and some Caravaggio and that will take care of the Baroque. Then the Amalfi coast for the relaxing part. Drink at least a jug of house wine at every restaurant you visit.

And I almost forget! Assisi! That is truly the most beautiful place you will ever see. I'm not Christian and I'm certainly not Catholic but watching the sun rise from the Basilica of St. Francis is probably the closest I've ever been to a religious experience.

    Anyways, I recommend Italy.
