Grooming allegations against 'Game Grumps' host Dan Avidan explained
WWW.NEWSWEEK.COMThe 42-year-old co-hosts YouTube gaming comedy channel Game Grumps and is also the frontman of the band Ninja Sex Party. -
I like to watch stuff on YouTube and streaming services.
I don't play games on my PC much, and the games I have aren't that demanding (TF2, CS: GO, etc). -
I plan on getting a desktop.
The computer I have now cost $750. I'd like a computer similar to the one I have now.
I'd be open to a computer that cost between $400-$600.
-
My computer is 7-8 years old, and I plan on buying a new one.
What should I look for if I just plan on browsing the internet? What's the price for a good computer? -
Just curious, how old is your computer? Mine's 7 years old.

Did you play online on the Wii? They use the same tech on the Wii as the Switch.
No. I barely played the Wii.

Haven't had a Nintendo console since the Wii.
Can someone tell me how Nintendo's online is behind?

Every cartoon on YouTube now is just dark parodies of cartoons you watched growing up.
"Dude, I took this kids' cartoon and put violence, swearing and sex in it! I'm so original and subversive!". Taking something for kids and putting violence, swearing and sex in it was played out when Robot Chicken did it back in 2005. -
I'd kill for a new Punch-Out game.

Nobody's butthurt, man. We're just pointing out why you're wrong.

"Keep thinking Nintendo is as profitable as Sony and MS".
You know Sony and Microsoft LOSE money on their consoles, right? Microsoft lost $4 billion on the original Xbox.

TF are you even talking about? Nintendo has to learn a hard lesson about customer service? Why is that exactly? The Wii, 3DS and Switch all sold staggering amounts of consoles. No one cares that Nintendo is the most anti consumer company. They have the reputation of selling the most affordable, most reliable consoles on the market. Hell they released a complete dud in the WiiU and then followed it up with the best selling console of all time lol. People will buy Nintendo no matter what.
Hardcore gamers don’t matter to them. The people that buy Animal Crossing and Pokemon 100% do move the needle. You think “hardcore” gamers haven’t already been leaving Nintendo in droves over the last 15 years? And Nintendo has clearly had no problem replacing them and then some. So if you or people like you leave, they won’t care one bit.
The majority of gamers either don't know about Nintendo's anti-consumer practices, or don't care. This applies to a lot of other companies and their shitty practices. It's why Battlefront 2 still sold a lot even after the lootbox controversy,

What if Samsung entered the home console market? Samsung is a well-known electronics company, so them making a home console isn't that big of a stretch.

Are you like from a time machine from 2005?
I swear you posted another thread that just was like you missed 15 years of discourse lol.
What do you mean?

"The casual gamers who only buy Pokemon and Animal Crossing aren't moving the needle".
Have you seen the sales for Sword and Shield and New Horizon? Clearly, they ARE moving the needle. And casual gamers make up the majority of gamers, which is why the Wii sold so well, and why mobile gamers outnumber console and PC gamers COMBINED.

I've never had a problem with the N64 controller. I just hold the controller by the left and right prongs. I really don't see what the big deal is.
-
Why don't any of the big 3 market their consoles more in China and India? Combined, the two countries make up more than a third of the world's total population. You'd think they'd be trying harder to sell their consoles there.

The real problem with the discs was that you couldn't use the GCN as a DVD player. DVD players cost a pretty penny back during that generation of consoles so it made it a tougher sell for a lot of consumers vs consoles that could double as a DVD player.
Also I would not discount the effect of the controller only having 3 shoulder buttons. I remember Splinter Cell worked around it but I think a lot of devs didn't want to deal with redoing the control scheme for the GCN version.
The PS2 sold as well as it did because it was a lot of people's first DVD player.

Why do people always bring up the GameCube as a reason Nintendo shouldn't try to make powerful consoles?
The GameCube's failure had nothing to do with failure. The GameCube failed because Nintendo stupidly chose to use those mini-disks which limited storage capacity, which meant poor third party support.- 1

Is lack of third party support currently a problem for Nintendo?
The Switch isn't getting Cyberpunk, Madden, COD or Red Dead Redemption 2, so yes.

Why do we give Nintendo a pass for not making a powerful console like Sony and Microsoft? Why do we let them be different for the sake of being different? A triangular wheel is different, but that doesn't make it useful.
If Nintendo wants to get third party support, they need to make a powerful console. It's as simple as that.
