Netflix said its share of total TV viewing in the U.S. hit an all-time high of 7.7% in June and defended its signature binge release method.

Netflix is so out of touch, it's hilarious. Imagine if Disney+ dropped all the episodes for a season of The Mandalorian or WandaVision at once.

As bad as 4Kids' dubs were, they were a LOT of people's first exposure to anime, with Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh.

I watched anime dubbed by ADV Films and Funimation when I was younger. Could that be why I think the dub for Cowboy Bebop is overrated?

I say that because Spanish dubs of the era were so much better than the English dubs, but that's mostly because there was already a well established industry for dubbing dramas and romances and whatever else have you in Spanish. The Latin American dub for Dragon Ball Z in particular was supposedly AMAZING, which is why Dragon Ball is so popular there.

One thing I've noticed is that anime with Western elements and themes tend to have good dubs, like Cowboy Bebop or Baccano.

I FINALLY started Cowboy Bebop the other day, because I heard it was amazing, and the English dub is the best ever. And, I'm going to be honest, I don't think the dub is that good. I'm sure it was considered really good back when it first aired, but it's not that good by today's standards.

Don't get me wrong, I like the voice acting from the main cast of Cowboy Bebop just fine. It’s the voice acting from the minor characters I’m iffy on. Like, in the second episode where Abdul Hakim enters a bar, and the bartender has a VERY stereotypical Asian accent.

I think the dub for Baccano is the best dub I've ever seen (heard?). I've only watched two episodes so far, but EVERY single performance in the dub is spectacular. It's like watching an old gangster movie.

Well, not only would that NOT make the red voters vote Democrat, that would piss off the blue voters in those red states who would be affected as well.

Why aren't the Democrats airing ads nonstop about the Senators who were complicit in Jan 6, and SCOTUS overturning Roe v. Wade?

I want to follow politics, but I didn't pay attention to politics until 2016, and even then, I only read r/politics comments sections. I'm worried I'm too far behind to follow politics, and I might not be smart enough to understand them. There are so many news sources that I wouldn't even know where to start.

Any advice?
