At work, I’ve got people telling I’m capable of doing more, I should be a supervisor. But every supervisor at my warehouse is fucking miserable and stressed out 24/7. That doesn’t seem worth the extra money to me, and it would be a bad fit for me anyway. “Well, we can help you find something elsewhere in the company.” That’s turned out to harder than anticipated, because I don’t necessarily look great on paper. Nobody gives my application a second look, because they don’t know me, and my bosses don’t seem to have the pull they think they do. But whatever, I’m really good at my current job, which is satisfying even if it’s stupid easy at this point. Of course I would like to make more money, but I pay my bills. I have a roof over my head. I can afford to have a little fun. What else do I need? It’s not like I’m ever gonna support a family. Or buy a house. Or retire. 
 

And I’m not going back to school. Every time someone suggests that, I say “oh, yeah, I’m thinking about it”, but I’m not. I hated school as a kid, and my two failed attempts at college weren’t any better. “Well then, if not a traditional degree, how about a trade school?” Sounds great, except none of those trades sound all that appealing to me, and that’s still a lot of time, energy, and money to dedicate to a path I may not like. 

As someone thats been in warehouse management up to regional director level, you are absolutely right on miserable and stressed out. The money is extremely generous though, so I see it as a means to an early retirement.

The 8 Sleep is WELL WORTH IT. Summer nights I set it at 50 degrees, winter Ill set it at 80. Its timed based on your cycle of sleep, so deep sleep itll adjust to a lower temperature (or whatever you program it to). Its amazing technology that I am really surprised has not garnered more attention.

Parking it was easy, it was narrow parking spots that had me constantly worried about getting door dings. I wouldnt bother driving it downtown for things like Vikings games.

Funny you mention this....Ive been considering this with my dad. 

Been dealing with serious back pain for like 9 months...just figured stretching and chiro would get me back to health. It didnt. I went in for an MRI and I have a fragmented disc in the lower lumbar. Got an injection for it and that worked for about 4 months but I can tell Im going back to how I was prior to the shot. 

I feel for you, back pain really blows. 

the american health system is such a joke. I hope they diagnosed her correctly. When I was dealing with chronic throat soreness, I went to the ears nose and throat doc and he stated its acid reflux and to see a gastro. Went to see the gastro and he said it was ENT. This went back and forth for a year. I went in for a sleep study to find out that I snore almost all night and that was the root of my chronic sore throat.

I have an 48" LG C1 in the bedroom since its typically darker in there. I agree, great TV.

The function is for men who hate having extra bulk in their jeans. Thats the only reason I got one and continue to be faithful to them. Its nice having the integrated apple tag too so theres no panic when you misplace your wallet.

ive used ridge wallets for the last 8 years. Recently bought a new one that supports an apple tag. Game changer. I use a phone case that can carry a card and license when I go to Vikings games just so I dont have to have an extra thing in my pocket, but i generally dont like to have all my "eggs in one basket". If I misplace my phone, I dont want to lose my ID.
