  1. I’m currently preparing for a move and trying to practice half-hearted minimalism as I prepare to move into a house with limited storage space. I still have every yearbook from 7th grade to 12th. I never really flip through them, but when I do it is interesting to remember old faces. But do I really need them? Hauling around six hardcover and somewhat sizable book doesn’t seem justifiable any more considering how little I will actually lose them. It’s not like I had a particular lovely time during those years either. I would feel weird throwing them out, though, but in a year I can say I’d miss them THAT much.

A middle ground option would be to keep my senior year book and throw out the rest. Our cut out relevant pages from the ones I discard and store them in plastic sleeves in a notebook.

Or just burn them all, which is my roommate’s suggestion.

Rick Scott before him did the same thing. It’s not just a GOP Governor thing either. Cuomo in NY and what’s-his-face in CA are addicted to the spotlight and love being all over CNN and MSNBC. Cuomo would overturn some Covid response decision Deblasio would make just so he could announce it himself on tv a few days later and look like the guy in charge.

I mean yeah I’m a Floridian so I’m well aware of how shitty our last governor was, but it’s somehow more blatant and Trumpified under DeSantis.

I agree with this, but I have young twin boys that are super excited for everything marvel - so we watch it all together.  Most of them are decent - But I did sleep through a few of the winter soldier shows.

I totally feel that. Kids love the MCU and it’s fun to see it through their eyes. And just to be clear, I quite enjoyed bout WandaVision and Loki, so I will still keep up with some of the shows. But it’s also clear there are areas of the MCU that just don’t interest me the same. I also couldn’t finish Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The more Marvel embraces weird stuff like the multiverse and cosmic shit the more it makes the super spy stuff seem boring in comparison. I’ll probably skip Hawkeye too for that reason. I used to be a completionist with the MCU but I just can’t anymore.

  4. My sister didn’t get vaccinated over concerns it would effect her ability to get pregnant, wherever she got that idea, and caught COVID shortly after moving to Texas. She’s doing okay, but she has to return to work now because it’s past her 14 day quarantine and she said she still hasn’t regained all of her energy back. I really hope she recovers, and was sad to hear how she was don’t, but I’m still disappointed in her from doing her part to prevent this.

  5. I thought it was very good. Not perfect, but surprised to see so many criticisms. It largely works and is easily the best of the DCEU movie. Like, not even close. It it manages to be mean spirited at time, sweet at times, and utterly beautiful in other moments. Whether it wasn’t fully your bag, I can’t fathom how someone could say this isn’t an improvement over the first.

do you have to be defensive about every single thing

I honestly didn’t know how to respond to his reply. I’m sure his year sucked but for a lot of people this year has gone by faster. I’m not sure what his point was. Maybe there was a better way to respond but I’m autistic so this whole impersonal manner of communication with people I’ve never met is not my strong suit.

Also, don’t be a dick. My comment was intended to be tongue in cheek, and maybe I failed at accomplishing a that, but yours was intentionally assholish and personal. Whatever.

  7. I owned a pair of AirPods before upgrading to the Pro. I have larger than average ear holes so the regular AirPods, while convenient and easy to use, never felt completely comfortable for me. But Pros, with the right tips, fit just right. And the noise cancelling works like magic.
