The likely next governor of Texas? Did I miss some really big news? Abbott (63) is younger than Patrick (70), Abbott is much more popular than Patrick, and there are no term limits in Texas. Sure Patrick could try to become governor, but a lot would have to happen. It’s improbable, not “likely”.

Of course I despise Patrick. He’s a nut.

Yeah, that didn't track with me either. He's extremely partisan and with the shift we've seen in Texas, I am doubtful that he could win. But, then again, I know next to nothing about Texas politics at the statewide level.

Say what you want about these two, this was a good source for outstanding lawsuits for the election:

That dude has a punchable face and her name is Krystal Ball, but otherwise what they were saying was fine. Including calling out the incompetent coup, Trump losing twice and the overreaction to Pompeo's horrible joke.

Budget proposals are offered in February, and President Trump is set to leave office on Jan. 20. “They’re pretending nothing happened,” one government official involved in the...

Hold on. Is the new Trump strategy to pull a Costanza/Larry David and show up on January 21st like they're still in power?

I have compared Trumpism to pro wrestling before.

What everyone, including the GOP, needs to understand is that Trump is Hulk Hogan.

He will never "pass the torch" because he has no conception of the idea that "his time has passed".

He could be 85 on his 6th heart attack and still look around and genuinely think he was the best guy for the job.

I think Trump could be the 2024 favorite if he runs. Yes he lost and he lost bigly, but he's the best thing to happen to the GOP since Reagan. Pre-Trump the entire narrative was how demographic shift meant that the GOP was going to be extinct in the next decade. Instead, they have a candidate that has widened their base in almost every single demographic. The trick is that I think he's the only one that can do it and I don't think shoving a Tom Cotton out there and having him do a half-assed Trump impersonation would work at all.

At this point they are not calling it to appease president manbaby.

Biden probably holds off on his event for another day, right? He's already being treated as the Pres-Elect in the ways that matter, going on TV and declaring himself the winner before anyone else (except Decision Desk) seems like a bad move to me.

Chris Pratt has never openly discussed politics, anyone saying he's a trump supporter is just basing it on the fact that he's openly Christian and he chose not to take part in a Biden fundraiser. He donated money to Obama's campaign in 2012.

He may be a Trump supporter. He may not. I found it crazy that so many people got up in his business because he didn't attend a fundraiser.

He's more or less married to a Schwarzenegger/Kennedy, I honestly doubt he's a Trump fan.

Yeah, but the waiting for the next batch of votes to drop is nerve wracking. I know Biden still has a path without AZ, but it's already too close for comfort.

I get it I'm worried about what that 1am vote brings in terms of how much the 80k shrinks. But I'm extremely cautiously optimistic that the lead holds even if it's destined for a recount/court.

One thing to keep in mind with AZ is that it is full of old people who have always voted by mail. So don't get too comfortable with those recent numbers not being enough for Trump.

I hate to be a chicken little but that AZ news was not good for Biden.

Not only that but the 538 live blog combos bad FL news with bad PA news (Biden won't have the margin that HRC had in Philly).

    And I am stressed again.
