Yeah this is hitting my 3080 harder than cyberpunk. I’m on ultra performance dlss and disabled ray tracing shadows. It’s mostly fine, but still has some problem points.

I will probably notch it down a bit more because I prefer very consistent performance.

The environment is beautiful maxed out though and perhaps the best I’ve seen. The sunsets are crazy good. Character models are actually showing their age though when compared to HFW and GoWR.

I am noticing some stuttering on ultra+ with 3080 as well.

Are you able to see FPS on yours?  It doesn't show for me using the Steam overlay or GEForce overlay.

Would love to know your configuration if you find one you are happy with.

I still haven't even played Nioh 2 yet and I'd want to play that first (Nioh 1 was soooo good). And they're making Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty and this at the same time? Impressive.

It goes on sale pretty often on Playstation.  I was starting to hate it cause there are quite a few demons or fights I think they expect you to run away from early on unless you are some pro at these games (which I am not).  I decided to put it down for a bit.  I probably should revisit.  I feel the difficulty level compared to Nioh1 is way higher....or there are just more bullshit death moments.

  3. Great game.  Beat story mode with my kids and since they didn't watch the tutorial moves, they were wondering how I kept having my super.

The online coop on this game is so good.  I hope this starts a new trend.

I still think streets of rage 4 has more replayability and River City Girls one of the best modern beat ems but TMNT will gladly be part of the rotation for my family.

I just got to the first boss Margit faster than I was expecting. I'm only level 20 doing a strength/dex build and got knocked around pretty good. Just curious what level everyone was when they beat?

Also seems like the Gatefront Ruins in front the of the castle entrance is a pretty decent place to farm for the time being?

I beat it I think lvl 19 with hybrid build.  I read most beat it around lvl 20.  Are you using your jelly friend?

I have 60 vigor and I can get two shot from some elite mobs, as in stronger than normal but can still respawn. Vigor is by far the best stat and also the most useless. Cuz the number doesn't mean shit. I got hit by a field boss that would take 95% of my health bar with one move. If I wasn't at full health or I didn't get out of the blast radius I was dead. The majority of the game you are basically just going through the game with 2 hit points. You can get hit once, but never twice. Sometimes that will change to 3, but 2 seems to be the most common. And your flask basically just restores 1 hit point. Usually, it is mandatory bosses that let you have 3 hit points.

Lol I never thought of it that way but damn so true.

  6. To fit your criteria:

Yoshi's Crafted World - way easier platformer than the Mario ones.

Minecraft Dungeons - easy dungeon crawling game, simple mechanics and nice difficulty slider.  Good exploration on the maps.

Bugsnax - if you got PS5 early and redeemed it for free.  The game does get more difficult later and require a bit more gross motor skills to capture certain bugs.

Other games my little kids play constantly.  I have 9yr old and an 8yr old with special needs.

    Roblox (obvious answer here)

    Side Scrolling Beat-ems

    - River City Girls - if you die, your teammate can revive you and if party wipes you just restart in the area you wiped.  This might fit your criteria too as it's somewhat an open world side scroll beat-em.

    - Streets of Rage 4 - tons of difficulty modifiers to make this game easy to complete and my kids get excited when they unlock a new character try out.

Moving Out - same people who made Overcooked but way less complex than Overcooked.  Easy to carry little kids through some levels.

Injustice 2 - what little kid doesn't like superheros fighting.

Concrete Genie - I think this might be too difficult for 4yr old but worth a try if you redeemed it on PS+.

I'm honestly surprised we haven't gotten more Rune Factory games on Steam. These types of farming games do amazingly well on there. Story of Seasons isn't quite as well-known as the old Harvest Moon brand, I don't think it's hit quite the same highs as Stardew Valley or the Farming Simulator games yet, but if they keep releasing quality titles I'm sure that'll change. So far I'm really liking this game.

They seem to have learned a lot since the last time I played one, added a lot of Animal Crossing/Stardew Valley elements like filling a museum (When did they start adding museums to Story of Seasons? I can't even remember the last one I played.) while also retaining a lot of the classic stuff. Not to mention the ultra fat cows.

The cow isn't fat, it's just full of milk.

How is the pace of this game?  I saw the trailer the other day and it seems like designing/farming seems to be kind of slow with the animations being used.

it's been rainy as hell here in Houston. I seriously can't remember us ever getting this much rain so early in the year. We usually getting all the flooding in late Aug/Sept. And with all the standing water it's the mosquito apocalypse here. :(

Was that one year, I think 2008?  It rained pretty much constantly where the summer was pretty much skipped and temps stayed around 80s.  I'm in Dallas though.
