Any "solution" that involves "winner take all" for a state's electoral votes should be laughed out the room and whoever proposes it should be shot on sight along with their entire family.
There are only two legitimate options for awarding electoral votes under this archaic, ass-backwards system:
- proportional awarding based on the results of the state's popular vote
- proportional awarding based on the results of the national popular vote
That's it - those are the only two legitimate options. Anything else is a further perpetuation of this farce.
It's not even like it hasn't been done. Look at Maine and Nebraska.

Maybe we should drastically expand the size of the house of reps so this issue basically fixes itself.

Get vaccinated or live cut off from greater society like the Amish

While it would be great if it did so, I doubt Kentuckians will mind this after all the other stuff they've overlooked.

They certainly love playing the "we're not racists because Abe Lincoln was a Republican" card over and over again.
I get this CONSTANTLY from friends who refuse to acknowledge shifting party platforms.
"Republicans freed the slaves!"
"Democrats started the KKK!"
"Republicans passed civil rights!"

I'm not sure if changing the mass of everything when we measure it is a good idea, but I'm sure they have their reasons
They aren't really changing it. It just won't be based on a lump of platinum that is constantly changing by infinitesimal amounts over time.

The original purpose of the house and Senate was to be checks on each other; people vs states. That power was already diluted when 1929 happened.
The technology is there to be used, so use it. Outside of sotu speeches and the like, when are all the seats even being used?

I still find it so weird that they're constantly going after this rule when it's basically not even enforced. It's not like we're jailing every pastor and rabbi that makes some kind of political statement.
We should though. Or at least remove their tax exemt-ness.

Yeah, how exactly is this being paid for?
Not like it's the military after all.
