  1. My guess is that Sabine, Ezra and Ahsoka get stranded on Peridea. Season 2 will focus on them stopping Baylan from whatever he's after and getting back to the main galaxy. Thrawn escapes and starts building his army which will lead to the crossover movie that was announced.

Really sucks about Ray Stevenson. His portrayal as Baylan is perfect and will be tough to get someone to fill his shoes

LOL looks like Marrok was just some scrub sub-villain with a mask for the stunt guy, kind of weird and random to have bothered to have the character at all. Also, what was Marrok? There was an exploding hiss and black smoke coming out of the breastplate and screams and that was it.

That helps make it make more sense - is this the case with where Thrawn and Ezra may be? Not extragalactic but in either "Wild Space" or the "Unknown Regions" or something along those lines? Has Star Wars ever actually left the galaxy to go to another one? The galaxy of Star Wars seems in look to emulate our Milky Way Galaxy.

Thrawn and Ezra are in a different galaxy all together. When they use the map it shows two different galaxies, the line points between the path between both that they need to take from their galaxy to where thrawn is.

And I don’t mean this to come off like a lament about plot holes, but… what exactly is Fury’s ostensible reach and pull? He wants to work alone or with just Talos, then when he’s saving POTUS from an attack he’s got a whole bunch of dudes with him. Then this plan to protect POTUS in the hospital is to literally sit alone in a hallway with a gun by himself with absolutely no plan to deal with Rhodey? “Nobody can protect the planet like I can,” or whatever he says is just such obvious nonsense given who Fury almost certainly has on speed dial.

Fury and Talos were alone. He didn't bring anyone himself. The soldiers protecting the president from Gravik were part of the envoy transporting the president.

The soldiers did seem to know who Fury was though.

  4. So are either of

    Spoiler

The Armorer or Greef Karga spies?

For Greef, he goes out of his way to give Din a nice (cincoro) bottle of alcohol he name drops as from Coruscant. Which means he could have been the one giving Kane the info about what happened on planet.

The Armorer had a convenient excuse to leave the group before being ambushed. She also has the same horns on her helmet as Moff Gideon, so maybe a tell that they are on the same side.

Also the survivors could be part the spies too, eagerly leading the group of Mandalorians right into the trap.

    Oh, this is RICH.

And DeSantis is spending millions of Florida taxpayer dollars to fight it. Fuck that clown.

In an odd twist, Disney is paying to sue themselves. The district themselves are the ones retaining lawyers and the district is funded 100% by taxes of property owners.

Remember, the district was not dissolved like the original plan. Because the idiots did not realize that if that happened all the extra taxes Disney pays to the special district would go away, and the debts would fall on the counties themselves. So this is why in the special session last month they wrote a new bill that nullified the previous bill and they only renamed the current district and changed the make-up to be state appointed instead of by the property owners inside the district. So much for Taxation without representation.

Also side note, Disney paid taxes to BOTH Orange and Osceola Counties. This is in addition to what they pay the special district. So all that "they don't pay their fair share" was a bunch of bs in the first place in this particular instance. They didn't even receive most services the counties usually provide either, since the special district manages road works, uitilities, EMT (why you never pay for an ambulance while at WDW) and fire.

  6. I thought it was an OK episode. I think the biggest issue is that up until now we haven't spent very much time away from Mando in any episode. There were a few scenes here and there over the first few seasons, but nothing like this. So it definitely just felt out of norm for the show.

I do like seeing what is happening outside of his view to get a better sense of "why", it was just awkward compared to the rest of the series. Perhaps if they broke it up and went back to Mando for a bit it wouldn't have felt as dragging on.

  7. Rtings really f'ed up the cycles for Sony TVs though. Not sure how Samsung handles compensation cycles, but it is critical part of how the manufacturers ensure even wear of the individual pixels.

For reference, LG runs their compensation cycle 15 minutes after you turn the tv off when a culmilative 4 hours of tv use. Sony wait a 4 hours to run this cycle. This is all automatic and nothing the user needs to do. So with their schedule, LG runs this cycle 21x a week vs 3x for the Sony. To top it off, I was one of the people who brought this to their attention when after two weeks they saw the burn in on Sony OLED because their original schedule did not allow Sony to run these cycles at all. Again, I'm not familiar with how Samsung handles this.

OLEDs are prone to burn in under very specific use, but I think for the vast majority with varies viewing it really is nothing to be concerned about.

yeah, they made him a little too much of a bad ass. The show has done so well to avoid pointless over the top action scenes that this one felt a little out of place. Those ship light saber/lasers or whatever really didn’t fit the tone of the show.

I couldn’t understand what the hell those two aliens were saying. I had to rewind it three times and eventually turn on the closed captions. Fun fact, you cannot turn on the CC on Disney+. You have to turn it on system wide on your TV. How stupid is that?

Anyway, they do have a lot of balls in the air, and you’re right, he didn’t say she had a funeral coming up, just that she was dead. I just rewatched and they cut off the end of the conversation. I guess he could have told him, but it’s kinda sloppy.

What device do you use? On my Sony Bravia that runs google TV I can definitely turn captions on/off from the Disney+ app. The icon is on the lower right side of the progress bar.

Anybody else see this yet? Going this weekend?

Saw it last night. Very good for a sequel in the MCU and they handled Chadwick passing very well. Cinematically it was amazing, and probably the second best movie in the current phase.

The theatre was definitely very somber for a good portion of it...and there was one person uncontrollably sobbing during the end credit scene. If you don't well up at least once during the movie, I think you might be dead inside.

I’ve been hearing economists at every conference say that recession is around the corner for the last 7 years. When it happens they will all tout how they “called it” and write a book and or start a pod cast on how smart they are.

Reminds me of Max Kellerman saying Tom Brady was going to drop off for 10 years straight. He might finally be right!

My only complaint is that the CG is distracting.

It's not as bad as I was expecting based on the first trailers. I think there are a few things at play on why She-Hulk looks faker than Hulk. She has smoother skin making her look more computer generated vs Hulk. Also, they gave her pinker lips (lipstick?) so that sticks out more than the greener lips on Hulk. Then, just in general they already had the assets for Hulk, so I would assume they would just re-use those for the show as needed.

Man that was short and wanted more. I too enjoyed the different person wink/laugh to the camera. I think that was another hint at Dark Avengers or whatever Blonsky mentioned about he and his 7 other criminal friends who meet. I wonder if Banner will help lead into Secret Invasion by heading off to inform Fury, who is in space last time we check/knew.

Maybe they are introducing hulk's son skaar? It's definitely a ship from sakaar, so maybe he left behind a child he never knew he had during Ragnarok.

Not sure if this needs to go in a spoiler tag, so will do so. Cool to see this acknowledged finally. And that other headline 👀
