Finally made it out to see this tonight. Definitely good fun even if it felt a bit long. A friend warned me about the face scene near the end so I was able to warn my son ahead of time. I'll definitely rewatch it when it comes out on blu ray.

Sounds like me.  I'm looking at this Apple headset through different eyes these days.  My "parent brain" has taken over some of my thinking. I'm picturing the parents who are glued to their phones constantly, letting their kid sit there and do whatever. Now the parents will sit there staring forward like a zombie with a big eye mask on.  What that will feel like for a young kid as they realize they get about half of mommy or daddy's attention.

I wonder how tiring the headset gets to be? You multitask the screen in front of your eyes, while also navigating the real world around you.  I imagine after a few hours you'll take the headset off and feel the hangover of sensory overload set in.

I think the Apple thing looked creepy as hell. Sit there and play with your kids while looking like a technology obsessed weirdo.  Laughed a few times during the reveal video.  "Stretch out the screen to make it look 100ft tall"- just picture everybody loading up Pornhub.  Comments aside, it looks neat and I'm more interested to see what it could become in another 5-10 years if they continue on with it.

YouTube recommended me the Cocaine Shark trailer the other day.  It looks so bad. Like pitiful bad.  Kind of want to fast forward through it though.

My son (who is turning 11 soon) went with a friend Friday night and saw this.  Came home kind of meh and said it was "just ok and not that great." Now I'm seeing all of your comments...

For real. These movies have become a lot bigger than him. The first 5 or 6 movies I’ve seen a couple times. 7 and up I watch them once and forget about them.   I’ve found Vin Diesel’s performance to be more boring as time goes on.

There is a Walmart less than 5 minutes from my house and it seems to attract the worst of the worst. It’s not even in a bad area.  The police have their own special parking spots right along the building now.

You know if it wasn’t for the internet I wouldn’t even know there was a Bud Light or Target controversy.  I was at Target recently and it was crowded as hell, filled with people of all color. Last night the beer store near me looked how it always did going down the domestic beer aisle. There wasn’t some magic mountain of untouched Bud Lights.

Mario also goes around kicking and throwing turtles.  Pretty messed up.

Watched the first episode.  Definitely brought back some memories seeing the old commercials and the whole "Subway is healthy" craze.  Probably as far as I go with it.  Looked it up to see he could get out in 2029 which seems so close now.  

I check in multiple times a day but just tend to lurk.  Life is so busy.  

I noticed this on there today. I’ll have to give it a watch.

I just saw this headline. Some things you just don’t have words for.  This kid better be set for life after this.

Just going by the screenshots it looks like a top to bottom remake of Snake Eater along with the release of the “Master Collection” which looks like it used to be the HD Collection. And once again I will buy all of it. The Metal Gear Solid series is probably my most re-bought series ever.

Imagine this guy traveling 800+ miles, renting a truck, and his big finale was driving into a barricade. Thankfully he was too stupid to hurt anyone.

Just downloaded the app on my phone. Kind of mad, it looks like they got rid of the custom profile pics. My kids loved opening the app and seeing all of our pics on the profile page.  

Just like the Marvel stuff, I’ve fallen off Pixar pretty hard. My kids don’t seem to have the love for much of the new stuff either. They will watch anything that comes out, but never go back to it later.

The trailer was pretty cool but as soon as I saw the “preorder for Shang Tsung”, I remembered I don’t really buy these games until the game of the year edition goes on sale.

It’s crazy. I never knew the pain that could be had from a bad mattress. Like actual joint pain. I would get out of bed and my hips and knees would feel like jello. Walking like an old man leaving the bedroom. The day I firmed up my side of the bed it’s completely gone.
