    Breakdown of Will Smith’s 10-yr, $140M extension, per source: $30M signing bonus 2024: $13.55M 2025: $13M 2026: $13M 2027: $13M 2028: $9.5M 2029: $9.5M 2030: $9.5M 2031: $9.5M 2032: $9.5M 2033: $9.95M The deferrals -- $5M per season -- will be paid out annually between 2034-43.

$50M of deferred money. Dodgers gotta be planning to “win and sell”. Crazy how much money is deferred.  Dodgers will be paying $93M in deferred money in 2034 which would rank 20th in payroll for 2024.

I saw an interesting take from a guy who works on ships like these. This is some sort of modern super ship that's designed to be as big as possible while still fitting through the Panama Canal. There aren't actually many of these ships in service. Margins are so tight in the international shipping industry that most of them are run by overworked skeleton crews and are poorly maintained. Stopping to properly service things costs time and money so they do the bare minimum.

It possible the crew didn't do anything egregiously wrong, but were victims of circumstance, tight budget and poor training.

So no different than trains. Glad the supply chain is kept together by duct tape

  3. The pink joy cons look great.

As for the game, the colors and art look great on the OLED though it does seem a bit blurry which is surprising since it does not seem to be a taxing game.

The setup is extremely formulaic. Weird thing gives a character the ability to use powers. Not sure why Princess Peach is a mute. Can’t cost much to give a bubble with some words.

the stages and abilities have been good so far.

Lightweight concrete was used in the 1970s construction of Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge “to improve structural efficiency,” according to a November 2021 report by the US Federal Highway Administration. The report noted that “the material is not commonly used for bridge construction” but “can be used as a durable and cost-effective material for bridges.”

The report seems to give the material mixed reviews, listing “enhanced durability” as a “counterintuitive” benefit while citing “reduced durability” and “lack of familiarity of contractors with lightweight concrete” as “disadvantages.”

Probably didn’t matter but you love to see cutting corners on bridges
