Unrelated to anything in the news, but I travel to DC every week for work.  Today I was in downtown and headed to get some breakfast and Trump's motorcade drove by.  Kinda cool, though I am bummed I didn't think to flip it off as it drove by.

Can the lurker banner be turned off? I think anyone who wanted to come back would be back by now, and it keeps popping up on me after I close it.

I'm headed to DC till Thursday. Air travel back to Chicago could be interesting that day.

Trump stabbed in Brazil?

Wasn't Nvidia the ones who brought Hardware T&L to the masses way back in the days of the Geforce 256?  Nvidia being first to market with their raytracing on board doesn't bother me.  Unless AMD has been caught with their pants down, they will have some sort of hardware raytracer in the pipe too.  As it becomes more efficient and optimized, performance will increase, and I'm sure with these new cards, the rasterization approach will have performance benefits over the current generation of cards.  I look forward to seeing the benchmarks, even though I'll stick with my 1070 for a bit longer.
