Bombing Gaza city, at least to the level Israel is doing, I think was the wrong choice.  The only way to really fight this war was (and is) to send boots on the ground in to the area.  Israel is probably going to end up losing thousands of their soldiers in the prolonged ground assault, but it will probably be the most effective and moral method of neutralizing Hamas.

a door kicking ground invasion in a densely populated place would result in thousands of dead civillians too like what was seen in mosul

it is a big reason that the us has been trying to stall the ground invasion because its going to be long and awful

  2. i dont envy the decision makers who have to choose how to respond to 1500 of their people being murdered in a terrorist attack by a group like hamas

there is seemingly no way to strike back without substantial civilian death tolls

doing nothing is also impossible for any nation and potentially more so for israel because of the specifics of the region

Regulations help in several ways - it mitigates the potential for sex trafficking and cuts down on the transmission of STDs.  It also keeps the women (and men) who are sex workers safe(r) from physical violence.

all of those things that it supposedly helps with are already protected by laws on the books

regulation just gonna push up the costs for independent sex workers and make it more likely that legal pimping becomes to standard

There are absolutely considered "Third"/Developing world countries by just about any standard metric.

They're not nearly as undeveloped as many countries in sub-Saharan Africa, but they're very much part of the "Developing" world.

egypt and jordan are both in the high category of the un hdi

the wealthiest nations per capita are all in the very high category

there are also medium and low categories

no metric is perfect but probably helpful enough to view things on a relative basis

It’s not at this point, US forces made the same requests in our wars too.

embedded media opens the military up to intel and tactical leaks so it is never surprising when states put conditions on embedded media

many states completely bar embedded media in hot zones altogether for that reason
