My work forgot I existed during the pandemic so I basically play video games all day but I also really need to make more money as I haven't got a raise in 3 years. I feel like I should leave even though I really don't want to.

Alarm is set for 630 and I snooze 5 times, get out of bed at 720 and rush out the door by 730.

Try using the tile option under the "choose a fit" menu using the original one you uploaded as your icon.
Wow perfect! It gives me the feeling of being sea sick without having to be on the ocean!

Reference models of any gpu usually run a lot hotter, that's surprising.
I have some weird airflow in my case so I think the FE's design might work better. I also think the Zotac runs the hottest of any card. I'm getting 70C max with the FE and the Zotac was around 76C.

The FE is tiny compared to the Zotac but it’s actually running about 6C cooler. Much happier with this card!

I went from a 40" 4K monitor to a 55" LG C9 OLED. Not gonna lie, it took about a week to get used to the added height. It felt ridiculous that entire week, then it suddenly 'clicked' and has been just absolutely amazing since. I was kicking myself at first because I knew the 48" CX would be coming out this year, but I was desperate to upgrade. Now that I'm used to the 55" though, I have zero desire to go for anything smaller!
As others stated, just take some basic steps to avoid screen burn-in. I'm one year deep so far with absolutely zero complaints. Well, my only complaint is that I don't have a HDMI 2.1 GPU to experience its 4K/120 glory, and it doesn't seem like that's going to change anytime soon!
Exactly what I wanted to hear. I actually drew an outline of the 55" on my wall compared to my 43"(thank you iPad Lidar ) and If I lean back it seems like it might be the perfect size. If I'm not happy the quality of the Q90T I can always return it for the CX 48" or the 55" if I'm happy with the size.

Usually I see Phish and various Grateful Dead bands 100+ times

My FE from Bestbuy has been sitting on my front steps all day completely exposed. They literally put the shipping sticker directly on the Nvidia box. Time to rip this Zotac out.

It really depends on what you play imo. For really action oriented game 3 feet is wayyyy too ****ing close, even 6 feet might be a little difficult to follow all the action. The general rule is you should never have to move your head to follow what is happening.
Now if you only play turn based rpgs or something you might be fine but my reccomendation is definitely stay on the smaller side if you plan to sit 3 feet away at any point.
Here's a helpful guideon size/resolution/distance:
What size TV should you buy? | Tom's Guide
WWW.TOMSGUIDE.COMWhat Size TV Do I Need? Here's how to figure out the size of TV set you should get and the distance away from your TV you should sit. Thanks that was helpful! It looks like 55" Should be fine for about 90% of what I use my PC for. I try not use my keyboard and mouse for anything. I can only think of 4 games I've used my mouse and keyboard for in the past year and I could probably just play those in a smaller window. I think I'll stick with the Samsung.

Anyone use a 55” TV as a pc monitor? I ordered a Samsung Q90t but I’m thinking it might be way too big. I’m thinking about canceling and spending a little more on a 48” LG CX. I can sit about 6 feet away when using a controller but would be 3 feet away when using a keyboard and mouse. I've been using a 43" TV for the past 5 years and it feels small at this point I don't think I realized how much bigger a 55" was when I saw it in store. Thoughts?

I think I had some success at Best Buy yesterday. I can finally return my $1300 Zotac to Amazon.

Overclocking my Zotac now. It becomes unstable somewhere between +50MHz and +75MHZ for a whopping .9% increase in performance. I think undervolting is going to be the way to go.
Also I only went with this card because it was the only one I could get. I plan to return it to Amazon before Oct. 29th.

According to 3Dmark it's already 185% faster than my 1070 so I'm pretty happy at stock lol. Now I just need Zen 3 to release.

@Puggles , nice! Have you dabbled with overclocking it yet?
Not yet. I'll probably try tonight. Although I did see it boosting past 2000 mhz with no overclocking.

Got mine installed! Tried all my most demanding games last night and everything pretty much runs at 4k60 max settings. AC: Odyssey even ran at 120% 4k!

Good for him. It's what he always wanted.
I'd fuck him for his pool with a view of NYC.

Update on my mental health

Good luck with your mental health journey. The last meds I was given caused me to black out and tape all the wires in my house to the walls and floor. I didn't take it again.
