I finally saw it too. It's great as expected. I think the box scene in part 1 is still my favorite scene though.
It really feels like it needs Dune Messiah though. The end brings closure to the main arcs, but I feel like it more clearly signals that there is more to say about this story than the ending of the book did. I mean, it's been more than 20 years since I read the book, but my memory of that was it felt complete, even though I knew there were more books. In contrast, the movie feels like it has more to say about the burden Paul takes on and the cost of it to the world that was not resolved.
Dune Messiah has been confirmed. They already have a script.

Saw it last night at long last and it's spectacular! I want a full cut of both movies. Whenever I get a 4K player this will probably be one of the first UHD discs I get.
Fun fact: I bought the 4k disc at Best Buy for like $10 on a whim and it's what convinced me to upgrade the majority of my favorite movies collection to 4k discs.

I just got back from watching it a second time but this time I went to see it in IMAX and holy cow it was incredible in that format. The sound alone was insane. Loved the movie even more!

Clickbait title over here making me hopeful Sony was ready to negotiate giving up Spider-Man rights.

They kept Aang riding an airball and slamming into a statue. I have a feeling the show will keep its silliness and charm. Maybe not exactly like the original show since it's not a cartoon but I have renewed faith after that trailer.

The latest episode with Hela was fantastic!
The last episode with Kahoori was also wonderful. Lots of great potential there.

I want them to scrap this whole Kang thing and move on to another villain. He's been a huge flop as a "big bad" imo.

Happy Anniversary y'all! I remember a lot of you from the IGN days too. I also remember when this was Bad Cartridge! I lurk a lot more these days than post but hi!
Hey, my emoji still exists! lol

Is it better to watch Gen V before watching that trailer? Gen V is at the top of my list of shows to watch now but don't want to spoil anything.

Someone I know in the martial community actually forwarded me that casting call as a joke (I'm just a smidge too old). hehe
I wonder if this will tie into Cobra Kai given Ralph's involvement now?

HWR should have bit Loki to pass on those powers.

Doesn't it? He's admitting he gave him the power to time slip but being pompous about it.

I really liked it. They didn't explain why the time slipping only happened to him, but I think they pretty much stuck the landing.
It also doesn't really seem like Marvel is in "crisis" as one publication made it out to seem. This makes it seem like the Kang the Conqueror story never has to happen, and gives them a way out.
HWR admitted he was the one who caused Loki to timeslip in order to put what was happening in motion.
I liked it overall. Found the entire season to be a bit too complex but that's a personal thing. Between multiverses, timelines, dimensions, and all that shit, I start to blank. Visually it was wonderful! I hope they leave the ending as is, it's bittersweet for Loki as someone said and a good close-out for him but I doubt they're done with Tom in that role. He's so good. I really hope they drop Majors and this whole Kang, I'm so over it already. He's a boring villain but served his purpose in this show. And yes, I know the next Avengers is literally called Kang Dynasty but hey, they can change things.

I did not like that first episode at all. I think there are only 6 episodes so they didn't do a good job imo of even setting the stage for what is happening. Felt overly confusing. I absolutely hated how the episode ended.

What makes you say that? I remember @NeoJoe sharing a story of him being very friendly, and gracious when he Foxx stayed at his hotel.
Oh man, I hope he's ok! And yes, in the 3 years I worked at the W hotel in South Beach he was a pretty regular guest and every single time was the kindest, funniest, and coolest guest. I specifically remember when the hotel first opened and we didn't have our shit together sometimes even VIPs had to wait for their rooms and he was always very chill about it. Always left big envelopes with money for each department so we could split for tips. He brought his daughter a couple of times with her friends and they were very sweet too.

The last time a Marvel movie had a cameo that actually made me gasp was No Way Home.

I'm assuming there was no post credits stinger because there was one, but they moved it up to before the credits so nobody would miss the helmet.
Also, if Disney doesn't start selling those knock off Avengers shirts, I will...well, I won't riot, but I'll be very unhappy about it.
This is their official twitter page now:

edit: sorry thought it would preview but they changed their name to Avongers and the profile pic is the bootleg cartoon.

That face off thing is so cringe to me. Why does Kimberly have the face of a toddler? It's creepy. I like the intro where the characters walk into the arena though.
