I was sniping the red dragon in the first area, but it flew off when I got it down to, like, 1/10th help, the son of a bitch.
Dodger
I’m not sure you can kill the dragons in their nest in 1-1. I think they will always fly off. The blue dragon is a bitch to kill because it has a ton of hp.

If you get world 1 to pure white tendency they should be gone from the nest. The dragons count as bosses for tendency so you can get world 1 to pure white killing Phalanx, tower knight and the red dragon.

Far as I know, you're not missing out on super secret crazy weapons, but there are things that only happen when you're pure black or pure white. If you're a completionist, then it's very important since there are side things you can only do with pure white. There are certain paths only available with pure white and certain enemies that only show up with pure black.
nublood
It’s amazing revisiting this game after so many years. An absolutely beautiful remake from top to bottom. I’m sometimes in disbelief how good this game looks and sounds compared to the original. I remember being so intimidated by this game in terms of pacing, because death could literally be your next step. But after years of Dark Souls and especially Sekiro, I feel like an old veteran returning to Boletaria for some sweet revenge.

Not very though there is one useful item in world 2 a lot of pvp builds use if you care about anybody of that. The rest you would only need it if you’re build needed it. You don’t have to do it but each world has an npc you can interact with first as human in white tendencies and then as a phantom in black. Dodger
Also each of the black phantoms is a mini boss. So you don’t need it to finish bathe game but technically you sent completing the experience of you skip it. Shits annoying to complete though and while a nice idea could have been done better. It's pretty safe if you sit on the above bridge if you slash in the spot right before the flames start.
Mercury33
This is 100% my favorite part of a new Souls release. The thread full of experiences and tips that goes with it. Understandably it’s not as prevalent for this game but I still love it. The souls community is the best.

Otherwise there are a couple useful weapons you can get, but if you don’t care about any of that you can just use them.

It depends on your build. Certainly the X-2 levels are hardest, so doing the X-1 levels will be helpful. In my case, I started with 3-1 because I was a magician in my first run and wasn't well-equipped to handle world 2. Also, I'm sitting around level 52, so if you're close, I might hold off on upgrading until you could invade me.
Bloodporne
I'm currently at Lvl 32 and probably won't be able to catch up for a while but it'd be fun to be able to PvP against each other in here at some point. I forgot when/where you get whatever item lets you invade others in Demon's Souls.

I've done two separate run throughs and builds, but I got a bit into NG+ before switching to Miles Morales since I had the urge to play something different. But I'd be down! Heck, I'd be down to do some co-op in some areas, like all of 1-4.

In general, I rarely interact with the online components at all so I figured that might be fun. I think I tried some PvP in Dark Souls originally but it laggy as fuck and just backstab fishing so I never got into it but seems like it'd be fun with people you know. Let's try it out sometime soon with some new characters.

I should've refined that statement because I do love helping others out with their bosses but I've never played whole areas co-op nor ever summon in my game. I like beating the games by myself and enjoy the solitary atmosphere the most actually. On another note regarding the DeS remake in general, I really like some aspects of their reimagining in terms of aesthetics but others are a pretty big miss for me as a massive fan of the original. I think it's a fantastic remake for any newcomers though and seeing it released as a launch title, and basically system seller, for the PS FIVE now is so cool to see. For the 1-4 boss, I kept going back to help people over and over again (after killing myself in the Nexus, of course). Feels good, man. There's just a cool vibe when you play co-op with someone and they do the "THANK GOD YOU'RE HERE!" gesture to you.

I still have no idea how World Tendency works even after all this time spent in the original haha... I guess in the Nexus you can die without impacting WT is why people kill themselves there, yeah? If you die in human form in a level, it affects world tendency and makes it darker. However, if you kill yourself in the Nexus, it has no affect at all. There's a lot more that goes into it, but this pic from Reset is a good visual:

I wonder what else you missed, then. White/Black tendency opens up different areas, quests, weapons, and items. It was in my second runthrough that I opened that gate at the beginning, and that among other things had me going, "Well shit, I missed a lot, didn't I?" Course, I was able to get pure black by accident in the Tower of Latria, so I got to fight and die to the Black Phantom there since I didn't know what dying in human form did. I don't know if the game ever really talks about it. One thing I did realize that I thought the game had glossed over is how to get super weapons from the superior blacksmith. I won't spoil anything if you haven't done it, but basically I thought, "How the hell was I supposed to know to give him this?" And then on my second runthrough, I talked with him and really paid attention and, yup, he tells you straight up what he would need. Ah, I love how the game tells you what to do but doesn't blare it out on speakers.

My favorite aspect of these games is to just get lost in the world and kind of do my thing so I do always miss out on something. On the other hand I do exhaust all "Talk" dialog options religiously and pore over every item description so a lot of times I caught shit my friends were surprised that I noticed. I'm currently hellbent on making a nasty Tearing Kilij. I want that Bleed!

I read a little about white tendency but I decided not to look at guides and pursue every optional thing the first time around because it's good to just try to do what you're able to do and then look for things you missed. Happened to me in Bloodborne: I killed that guy who houses people, one of the two areas besides Iosefka's clinic that you could bring people. I saw him and immediately attacked, and then I heard his dying words, "I was just trying to help." And I asked here, "Um... did I just do the right thing?" And I was told, look, you did it, so just keep playing and see how things turn out. There's nothing option you have to do to beat the game, so don't worry about it. And I found out that that totally wasn't what I should have done, but it's like, okay, I did that my first run, and that's how my playthrough was influenced. Now to change things up my second run. It was made worse by the fact that I NEVER talked to the first Iosefka to notice the change, so I was just like, "Oh sure dude, go to the clinic, enjoy." I actually still don't know how to get into that dungeon with that creepy doctor dude guarding the door in Sekiro and I absolutely refuse to look it up. Maybe on my 12th playthrough in 2029 I'll get it And same thing, I refuse to look up anything on my first playthroughs and I typically play offline as well the first time. Dark Souls, Demon's and Bloodborne I all played in Offline mode the first time. Especially Dark Souls was fucking amazing to just get utterly lost in.
