It looks like Series X and PS5 will be closer in performance than any generation in the past.  PS5 is punching above its weight in the specs comparison, although it still seems slightly less consistent on the whole than Series X.  (But for some reason, more performant in DMC5's high framerate mode)  DMC5 doesn't use dynamic resolution scaling, which could iron things out for both machines in other titles.

Same, I should be home when the delivery gets here but now I have to worry about some delivery guy snatching a free PS5 a my expense. Target has been a shit show throughout the whole pre order process and I'm not doing business with anymore. 

 

Walmart might be a shitty evil corporation and treat it's workers like shit, but at least they have it together.

Meh, I honestly think xbox’s gap will grow bigger as devs learn to use the hardware.

I don't think DMC5 was optimized very well as evidence that the PS5 only runs at 120hz and can't be toggled to 60hz and the Series S not getting Ray Tracing support when Watch Dogs Legion is able to just fine.

I always buy Japanese developed games on PlayStation because they seem to be optimized for it. Doesn’t seem like that will change this gen.

I think Capcom has issues with the Xbox. At times in the video it looked like native 4K was getting as good or better frames than in frame rate mode. And while it didn’t have as high of highs, it was more consistently staying in the 90s.

Something else would be bottle-necking it in those situations.  Ironically, it was the in-door parts that were roughest.  I'd be curious to know if the PC port had similar drops.

@Bloodporne better quality to check out the audio

Just listened in for a few minutes. My opinion on it hasn't really changed but I know Bluepoint usually has a million options so I hope the background sounds etc. are mapped to the "Music" slider so one can essentially mix the ambient/level sounds vs. combat sounds oneself. That's something I'd actually really like to see more options on in games in general and it seems rather easy to implement. 

 

That being said, I was more distracted by how fucking good the graphics are. Those little puddles he steps look absurdly realistic. I'm usually not Mr. Graphics but yeah, it looks really damn good.

I went to check my Walmart Canada order and nothing updated since Oct 2nd. Says it will be here Friday but email saying they’ll do there best for Thursday deliveries. I have high hopes for it arriving tomorrow (I am 30 minutes from their warehouse) and if not, I’ll just get high.

As long as CP has it on their truck by midnight you should get it tomorrow regardless of what tracking says. 

 

I'm quite enjoying watching Canadian Resetera freak out every time someone post the latest about their tracking. lol.  At least shipping atm isn't the mess it was when covid lockdown hit. I had airpods go missing for over 2 months and it was just going from Mississauga to DT Toronto. -.- Oh well in the end I got refunded, bought another pair (in store pickup this time) then magically the original ones showed up a few weeks later.

got an email from Walmart saying that there is possibly a 2-3 days delay now. Still have hope for tomorrow or Friday at the latest, being that the warehouse is a short 30-40 minute drive from my house.

Mine still hasn't shipped either, I contacted them about an hour ago and they said "it will arrive within 4-5 days" I asked when it will ship and they said "I don't have that information"

 

Edit: literally just got the email that it "shipped" but not popping up on fedex site yet, probably still sitting in warehouse and label just got created, says ETA is 11/18 :| My card also has not yet been charged.
