Playing Lumines on the Switch this weekend.  Makes me really miss these sorts of puzzle games.

Man I would just love a remake of Devil Dice on the ps1. My wife and I really enjoyed that one, like you I miss these type games. Lumines is just great period!

Just finished The Last Of Us 2. I'll be replaying this for a long time I think. Incredible gameplay, I could keep playing this for who knows how long. It's a LONG fucking game and I still didn't want it to end.

I shed a few tears at the end of that game. What a fucking masterpiece.

Can you imagine what Naughty Dog could do with the PS5?!

Started a new playthrough of TLOU2 on Grounded+, let's see how this goes...

I thought Hard was a bit easy especially in regards to resources. I was loaded up on stuff so I'd like to see how this game plays in full-on Survival Horror mode.

Edit: Also, made the mistake of checking the game's sub-reddit to see if there's any dialog about difficulty modes and so on and my lord, people hate this game passionately. Almost the entire sub-reddit consists of posts about how fucking awful the game is and on and on. I had no idea it was this badly received lol

The professional reviews are phenomenal. It's the user reviews that cry about the story and Abby looking like a man. Fuck them. We both know the game is a fuckung masterpiece. Have fun on the harder difficulty!

lmao “He’s so happy I want to beat him up. It won’t make me happy. But to be fair, nothing makes me happy” actual line from this fucking emo bad guy about Sonic in Lost World.

It has that thing where you need a certain amount of something you collect in levels (saved animal friends) to play the next level and I hate when platformers do that. A lot of the time I just want to play through the levels and not worry about other things to collect. It wasn’t a problem for most of the game but now I can see it’ll be an annoyance for these last three worlds.

“Only the reaper wins in the end” he says as I beat him. What a weird game lol.

Bought my wife The Witcher 3 in switch for her…third play through. Suffice to say, Zelda is on hold. Tried some GameCube and nothing pulled me in so back to Yakuza 0.

This for the next month or so. I may rotate and try some N64 this weekend and see how it goes.

Lol the third level in Sky Road in Lost World is fucking flappy bird. It’s just sonic flying through the air avoiding enemies. It’s funny because as I mentioned earlier there are so few assets on the screen in this game compared to other Sonic games, and now there is literally no stage at all in this level just a 2D background!

And I mean it’s flappy bird, the same type of physics and all. I looked and flappy bird came out like 6 months before this so they literally just saw that was popular and threw it in.

Its not too painful though especially since I remember how to play that game.

I'm not sure why they've all but died at this point.  The Switch seems like the perfect platform for a good old school puzzle game.  I have fun with the modern ones like Talos Principle, but they're not pickup and play games.  It's fun to have ones where you're basically just trying to best yourself and reach a higher level.

I’m at the final world of Lost World now so I’lol probably beat it tomorrow. Unless this last zone is super frustrating then this has been a solid modern Sonic game. You really just have to take it for what it is as this weird experimental style Sonic game and it’s pretty fun and the simple art style at least holds up and is pleasant.

The biggest frustrations are just how the game never really explains anything. Most frustrating parts are simply just not knowing what particular thing its asking you to do. They are annoying when they happen but honestly there aren’t that many overall. Mostly the colors powers they seemingly just threw in randomly.

Ive been replaying a few stages as I go through so yeah its definitely a game I like. $5 on cdkeys!

Edit: Oh and at least in the steam version there is A FUCKING NIGHTS ZONE. And it’s long, it’s a big production for that zone. It’s kind of a mix between a stage and a boss battle remix of the deadly six mixed with nights characters and style. It’s rad!

I rage quit Scarlet Nexus near the end because of obnoxious bosses, now I’m playing Biomutant and What Remains of Edith Finch.

Slowly playing through Biomutant right now myself.  Surprisingly fun game, but I'm a bit frustrated that a side quest seems to have broke leaving me with no way to turn it in.

The world and gameplay are pretty good with fun combat and exploration, but the story and characters haven’t been very good IMO. The narrator started to annoy me as well, so I turned narration off.

I like the environmentalist story of the game, but yes, the single narrator who voices out ever single line in the game was a very poor choice.

Finished up Ratchet and Clank and its the 4th game in my life that Ive gotten platinum’/100%. Loved this game. Cant wait for the next one.

Started Mass Effect: Andromeda tonight. ME is one of my absolute favorite trilogies and I cant remember why I never played Andromeda more than 1-2hrs when it came out and then just put it down.

Bouncing back and forth between Halo Infinite campaign and Grim Dawn.

Halo Infinite's campaign is pretty good so far, but it is Halo, and I only do so much Halo at a time. Grim Dawn just recently got released for Xbox and I know it's been on PC for a number of years now, but this is my first time experiencing it. Been playing it co-op with a buddy and it's pretty solid. Enjoying it a lot.

Playing other games here and there to work on my backlog.

I'm on my second playthrough of TLOU2 on Grounded right now and it's pretty brutal. I really enjoy the craziness of it but there are definitely elements of the game that don't lend itself to this mode as well as the first one. I just did the Hillcrest section and it was incredibly difficult.

Really enjoying Ori and the will of the wisps but I have to admit I get frustratingly stuck a lot and have to shut it off and walk away often. It's the only game I have any time on Series X but the map is frustrating to understand or to keep track of areas. It's why a fear the new Metroid on switch, I get frustrated on games like this but there great, oh well taking a break isn't such a bad thing after an hour or so strait!
